Hollywood Studios is the smallest theme park that I have ever been to. Tony and I were able to walk the length of the park in like 15 minutes. We did enjoy the early entree each day, which helped a little, but they only had like 4-5 rides even open that first hour. We did pay attention to when the shows were so we could make sure and see them. All the shows were really good and had lots of seating. They did fill up all the seats for each show.
We were bummed that a couple of the big rides were down while we were there, like Big Thunder and the Cars ride. Hollywood Studios is currently building more lands, so that park should be a lot better in a couple years.
There were a couple food items I wanted to try. The little ham and melty cheese sandwiches and the croc masseur, which is a different type of a ham cheese sandwich. I liked the small one better because the croc masseur ended up being way too much cheese and it made me sick. So sick that I had to leave the Lion King show to go to the bathroom. It was a good thing that I left. Tony said the show was really good. I just waited for him on a bench.
We did get a few different treats and that was fun to try. We decided the popcorn was not that great, so we only got it the one time.
It was really hot still, but we didn't let that slow us down. We got there first thing and then stayed until mostly the end. The third night we were pretty much done doing everything that we wanted, and the lines were all pretty long, so we called it a night. We decided to get dinner in the Downtown dinner area. Tony wanted 5 Guys burgers, so we went there. It was kind of a long wait, but Tony said it was really good. I just had some French fries. Tim and Suzanne ended up there too and they ate with us. Derek and Don were with Lloyd and Margie and Nate and Amy were doing their own thing.
We did a lot of things in smaller groups, a few things all together and some things just Tony and me. It was fun when we were all together doing rides.
We saw characters, but not many of them. We just so happen to stumble on Mickey right after we got off the Fantom Manor. Tony went on the ride again with Nate while we waited in line for Mickey. They made it back from the ride right after we saw Mickey, so no pictures of Tony and I with Mickey. We all had a really good time at the parks both days and we were glad that we were able to experience going to Disneyland Paris. I still think the original in California is the best, but it was fun to try something new.
