Gabe's Play

We had the opportunity to go see Gabe in his Jr. High musical, The Wizard of Oz.  Megan was supposed to have a softball game that same night, so Tony and her were going to meet us there, but then it got rained out at the last minute and they were able to come with us.  Tyler, however, was at an away baseball game so he was not able to come with us.

We picked up Margie and Lloyd from their house and we all drove together.  Margie had just had her knee replaced a few days before the play, so we wanted to help her get there as much as we could.  Gabe played multiple parts in the musical.  The biggest was the uncle to Dorthie.  He did a great job, and we all loved the play.  The whole cast and crew were very impressive, and we had a great time at the show and supporting Gabe.

Megan's Debate Competition

Megan is a rock star.  Tony and I were able to go watch her in her debate competition, and it was so fun to see her being so confident.  See didn't have any fear at all!  She knew exactly what to do and where to go.
Her and her partner, competed in three different rounds of competition.  We were able to watch two of the rounds before having to go to Tyler's baseball game, which happened to be at the same school that Megan was at, so that was very lucky for us.
Tony and I didn't really know what to expect, but we were blown away with how amazing Megan was.  She was fast and knowledgeable about her subject against organic farming.  She was animated and passionate and felt extra confident in her cute blazer and skirt.  She didn't make it to the state competition, but she is excited to go and support her teammates who did qualify.  She is also excited to compete again next year and make it to state then.  We love our Megan and our so proud of her!

Spring Softball

Megan has started softball again.  She is liking her team, The Black Knights, and is playing first base, which she loves.  She is doing much better at catching the ball and she is hitting like a champ.  Tony is helping coach the team, I'm the score keeper, and Allie loves to come and play during her games. The weather doesn't always cooperate, but they're playing their games and having a great time.

My Girls Rock

There are some fun rocks outside of the Taylorsville Rec Center.  The girls love to climb on them and pose for pictures when we go over for Allie's tumbling class.  They are pretty darn cute!

Easter 2023

We had a great Easter.  Church was lovely, as usual.  The girls sang with the primary, and I always love that.

Then the kids got Easter baskets later that day.  We then ate dinner at Margie's house where she had an Easter egg hunt for the kids.  Tyler and Brennen hid the eggs for the younger kids.  It was perfect weather and fun to spend the day with family remembering the resurrection of our Savior!

April Fun Times

The weather finally got a little better, so we got out our patio furniture and firepit.  We then invited grandma and grandpa to come over and have S'mores with us.  It was nice to be outside and finally enjoy some sunshine.
Allie passed off her division facts and was super happy about that.  Josh has been working really hard preparing for the musical at his school.  He is meeting lots of new friends and having a great time learning about how to put on a musical.  We are all very excited to see the show in a couple weeks.
I had to take Josh back to the orthodontics to get a bracket glued back on and after they were done, I asked him where he wanted to eat lunch.  He asked for Astro Burger, so that's where we ate.  He loves their burgers, and so do I.  We had fun having lunch together before I took him back to school.  It doesn't happen nearly enough, but I do love quality one-on-one time with each of my kiddos.

Josh got Braces!

It is now Josh's turn to get braces.  His teeth are actually fairly straight, but he has a pretty good overbite, so braces will really help.

He got them on in the morning and by the time he got home after school and play practice, his mouth was hurting.  I think it's going to take him a few days to get used to them.  It will all be worth it in the end.

Quality Family Time

We had a break from the super cold, rain, and snow so we decided to have dinner outside on our picnic table.  It was still chilly, but it was so great being outside and having some sunshine.
I love when we all hang out together.  No one's on computers and we're all watching the same show together.  It is even better when all the kids are being lovey.  Even Tyler still likes to snuggle, and Josh is so sweet to snuggle with his sisters.  It makes this mama's heart happy!

Josh Visits Gardener Village with Friends

Josh's friend, Brockton invited him to go to Gardener Village to see the animals, ride a horse, and have lunch.  They went with Brockton's mom and his little brother with his friend.  He had such a fun time hanging out with Brockton and seeing all the animals.  Josh loves animals.
