Memorial Day at the Cabin

We had a great time going up to the cabin to celebrate Memorial Day.  Kevin's family came up too and that was fun to hang out with them and my parents, and Averee.
We went on lots of four-wheel rides and enjoyed a yummy BBQ.  Allie and Jenni got the canoe out and paddled around the pond.  Allie did a really good job with the ore and figuring out how to get where she wanted to go, and Jenni figured it out by the end.  It was a great day trip up to the cabin.

Overnighter to Logan

Jenni and Gavin were in a play at their school, and we were able to go up and watch them perform. Tyler had plans so he stayed home.  We didn't want to go home late at night, so we rented a room in Logan.  We ordered some pizzas and Kevin's family met us at our hotel and we all ate dinner together in our lobby.  After dinner we went to the school and watch the play.  They did Aladin.  They both did a really good job.

After the play we got ice cream at the Aggie creamery and then we ate it in our hotel room.  The next morning after breakfast we went with Betsy to Pepperidge Farm and then to Gossner's for yummy cheese dip.  After that we drove home.  It was a fun little get away for the night.

Megan's Awards Night

We were able to get Megan to her Awards Night at the Jr High right before she had to go play her softball game.  She was excited to get all her awards and fells really proud of how well she did her first year of Jr High.  We are very proud of her and her hard work.

Tyler Senior Awards Banquet

Tyler and his parents were invited to attend the Senior Awards Banquet. We got there and many tables were at set up so nicely.  We picked some seats and waited for the events to start.

They had dinner for everyone and so we ate first.  After dinner they started to give out the awards.  Tyler got many awards for good grades and for being a Stearling Scholar.  The surprise award of the night was a Music Scholarship that gave him $600 from his music teacher.  His teacher started saying all these nice things about the student who got the award, and I was chatting with Tony trying to guess who it was, not thinking it would be Tyler.

Well, I was wrong.  I thought because he just started doing music his senior year, that he wouldn't get it.  But I was wrong.  I was so proud of him and all the work he put into his music this past year.

After all the kids received their awards and their cords that they'll wear at graduation, they then got to take pictures with each other and go home.

It was a fun night watching Tyler get so many awards and seeing what all that hard work gets you.  One more step closer to graduation, we can't believe it!

Tyler's Seminary Graduation

Tyler graduated from Seminary on Sunday evening.  He gave a talk and did a really good job.  He has come such a long way from where he used to be when he had to give talks when he got up there and had to take big deep breaths and could barely get the words out.  We are so very proud of him and all that he has accomplished this past year.

Teagan and Sam's Engagement Party

Teagan and Sam had their engagement party at my parents' house.  They had a good number of friends and family come to help them celebrate.
We all helped in any way we could and then enjoyed the food, family, and friends.  The weather was quite nice for the day.  We got to meet Sam's parents and his sister and her boyfriend, and their dog.  That was fun chatting with them and getting to know them better.
We are so glad to have Sam join our family in October and think they are just the cutest couple ever!
