End of Season Softball Tournament

Megan and Tony has their end of season softball tournament this past weekend.
We started out playing the first game against the best team and lost.  So, we then had a couple hours break before their next game.  So, we went home and then came back for the game.
They won the next game and Megan played amazingly well at first base (the one- and only-time coach let her play first) and then they had to play another game right after.
They didn't win that game, but they came close.  It was a fun season with this team, and I think that they improved a lot.  Megan had fun and wants to continue playing in the fall.

Running Through the Sprinklers

Tony was showing the kids how to turn on the sprinklers and how to check them for the watering season.  The girls took the opportunity to run in the sprinklers and loved it all.  I love that they still love doing these simple things like running in the sprinklers.

Tyler's Date to Top Golf

Tyler got asked out on a date with Sofie.  They doubled with her cousin and Rebekah.  They went to Top Golf.  She picked him up and then she even opened his car door for him.  He said that was a little weird, but nice of her.  He said that they had a fun time at Top Golf, and he is glad that he went.  I am glad that he is having these fun experiences.

Josh's Awards Night at Valley Jr. High

Josh got a couple awards at Valley Jr High's awards night.  He got one for his academics and another for his participation in the musical.  We are proud of Josh for trying fun things and working hard at school.  He is a good kid, and we are so blessed he's ours!

"Seussical the Musical Jr" @ Robert Frost

The girls had their turn to perform their play.  They both did such a good job.  They had two performances and I think that they all the kids did a great job.
Megan played the part of Mrs. Mayor and had a good number of lines and Allie was a Jungle Cat who also had a few lines.  They knew all their lines perfectly and they really loved the experience.  They both want to keep doing plays and trying new things.

Mother's Day 2024

I had a nice Mother's Day.  Tony bought me a Disney digital picture frame and a box of chocolates.   Josh got me a key chain that he won at school, Megan made me a flower pen, and Allie made a fun note keychain thing at school, and she also gave me a picture of her as a bookmark from the primary, plus she made me a little homemade card and coupons for lots of snuggles.  Tyler gave me a hug and that was nice too.  It was a good day, and I am thankful to be a mama to my four amazing children!

End of School Happenings

Tyler did such a great job in his last choir performance of the school year.  He always gets really into his singing, and it makes it very enjoyable to watch.  He is very excited to do Madrigals next year.

Allie woke up not feeling very good, so she stayed home from school.  She ended up taking two naps this day and they felt better the next morning.  It's always sad to be sick.

Sheree and I helped represent the Granger High PTSA and a Granger network night.  I decided to sell hoodies and we were able to sell like seven, which is better than nothing.

Tyler was asked to play the piano for Seminary Graduation.  He did a great job and then after they had some dessert in the gym that they decorated so fancily.

Tulip Festival

Suzanne invited me to go to the Tulip Festival with her.  I picked her up at her house and then we went to the festival.  It was really pretty and fun to walk around.  We had lots of things to talk about and enjoyed seeing all the different types of tulips and other pretty flowers.
After we saw everything, we went out to lunch at the deli at Thanksgiving Point.  We both got yummy sandwiches and shared some fries.  We chatted some more and enjoyed hanging out together.  I am glad that we got to spend time together and hope to do it again soon.

Supporting Josh in "Aladdin"

"Aladdin" - Josh as Jafar

Josh is an amazing Jafar.  He is so funny, and his evil laugh is simply the best.  I was beaming with pride every time I saw the play, which was four times.  I did miss one performance to see Tyler's last home game of the season, but Lloyd and Margie took the girls and they all saw it together that night.
Josh's costume was perfect.  They put a mustache and goatee and also large eyebrows on him, and it just completed the look.  He knew all his lines and did a great job the whole time.
The whole cast did a great job.  The set was super cool, and the costumes were all really pretty.  Josh got a new theater teacher this year and she has done a great job and Josh has loved it.  We are so proud of Josh.  He is so brave, has no stage freight, and is so entertaining.

"Aladdin" Show for the Elementary Kids

Play season has begun.  The Jr High always does a morning show for the elementary kids before they start their evening productions.  I, of course, have to sneak in and watch that show.  The kids seemed to all love the show and so did I.  Josh did amazing!

Another Taylorsville Temple Trip

I got to go back to the Taylorsville Temple open house with Teagan and my parents.  It was still awesome, and I loved going through with them.  After we went to Leatherby's for a delicious treat.  It was nice spending quality time with my family, and I am thankful Teagan wanted to go through and see this new temple.

Uncle Nate's Short Visit

Nate wanted to buy Lloyd's car so he flew into town just for an overnight trip to drive the car back to Texas.
So, we were lucky enough to get to spend time with him at Megan's softball game and then at Leatherby's.  He is such a funny guy, and we always have a good time with Nate.
