Adios Denver

Tony and I are sitting in the airport now waiting to go home.  Our flight should leave in about a half an hour.  We have been here for about two hours, so it's been super awesome...

Us at Chili's
They called our number, so I had to stop.  We are now home.  Our flight was really good.  It ended up leaving late, so that wasn't fun.  They had us all in and waiting to leave and then we had to wait another 20 minutes.  But the flight itself went smoothly, so that is the main thing that matters.

This morning we started our day by checking out of our hotel.  We then drove to Ball Corp and had our breakfast there.  Then the meetings started and lasted until about 11:00 am.  We decided to find some outlet stores for us to go walk around.  We found one on the other side of Denver.  It was about 45 minutes away from Ball.

Us waiting to take off on the plane home
The drive to the outlets wasn't bad, a little traffic.  It was a nice place for outlet stores.  It was kind of in the mountains and it was pretty.  We didn't really find anything we wanted.   A couple shirts for Tyler for next year, but that's all.  After shopping we went to lunch at Chili's.  It was good food and we had a good time.  After lunch we decided to head back to the airport and turn in our car.  It was a good thing we left early because we ran into traffic.  We gassed up the car and dropped it off and then the shuttle took us to the airport.  We checked in and we were good to then hangout and wait for our flight.

Tony's dad picked us up from the airport.  It was nice to be back.  When we got back to Tony's parents house Koda was in the back yard and started totally barking and jumping when he saw us.  He was so excited to have us back.  Then Tyler and Josh came and gave us hugs and kisses and they were so excited to see us.  Then Margie came out with Megan and she was happy to see us too.  She surprised us when she was pretty calm at first and then she reached for us and was so happy to have us.  We then packed up the car and headed home.  We gave the kids a couple gifts we had for them and then put them to bed.  Now we are all unpacked and relaxing.  It's super nice to be home.  We start pretty early tomorrow with Tyler's soccer game at 9:00 am.  Should be fun!

Back to Our Room

Tony and I in our room before leaving to our meetings
We are now back in our room for the night.  The tour to the can making plant wasn't as cool as I thought it was going to be.  They weren't processing when we were there, so we didn't get to see the cans being made.  We did get to see the lids being made and the tops of beer cans being made, so that was pretty cool.  It was loud and smelly.  It was also like 40 minutes away from the corporate office and our bus driver drove so slow.  He didn't take the freeway and all the stop and go from the lights and traffic really made me sick.  I don't like riding in buses, they always make me sick.
The second place we visited was more like the labs where they tested products.  So they had a tasting lab, chem lab, product testing lab, etc.  It was sort of interesting, but more boring then I thought it would be.  After the tours we went back to corporate and had "cocktails" and dinner.  So really we had canned water and dinner.  Tony really liked the dinner, but I wasn't such a fan.
After dinner we came back to the hotel and then skyped with the kids and Tony's parents.  We did this last night too and it is a lot of fun.  It is fun to see the kids and they were silly on the computer.  Megan did great seeing us.  We thought she might cry because she would want us, but she just waved and was perfectly happy.  She is so smart that she understood that we were just on the computer and not there.
After we chatted for about a half an hour we decided to go and get some ice cream.  We ended up at the mall and had an ice cream cone.  We walked around the mall and found a couple items that we bought.  We decided to go home so that I could start packing.  Now I am pretty much all packed and getting ready for bed.
Tomorrow we have more conference until about 11:00 or noon.  We have to have the car back to the car rental place at 3:30 and we fly out at 5:35.  So we will have a couple hours to tour around town before we have to get back.  We might go around Boulder and check that out.  It has been nice to be away, but it will be nice to get home again.

Sluffing Class

Tony standing by our rental car.
I decided to not attend the classes this morning so that I could just hang out and relax.  Some of the classes yesterday were quite boring, so I was glad to have a break.  They did have some very interesting things that they showed us and they kept us well feed and hydrated.
This morning Tony and I drove to the Ball Corp for breakfast and then when they started the meetings I left.  I decided to go walk around WalMart and then I came back to the hotel.  So now I am here relaxing for probably about another half an hour and then I will go back.  They should then have lunch and then we all board buses to go tour their two different plants that make the cans.  I enjoy seeing how things are made, so that should be lots of fun.
So far this has been a fun trip and I am glad that Tony and I were able to do it.  It is nice to be together and even if some of the things are boring, at least we are still together and that is what matters.  They had some booze with dinner last night, we decided not to have any.  We stuck with our canned water (yes I said "canned" water).  They make cans at Ball so they don't offer bottled water, just canned water.  It's different, but fun.  I am going to take some home.  I hope it doesn't explode in my suitcase.

Going To Denver

Tony on the couch in our room at Embassy
Yesterday after the boys got out of school Tony and I dropped all the kids (and Koda) off at Tony's parents.  It started raining really bad right as we were getting ready to go.  It was a pretty awesome storm.
Teagan came and got us and took us to the airport.  We checked in and got through security quickly and then had about an hour to just hang out at the airport.  The flight ended up being a little late, but not too bad.  We got lucky to get the last two seats in the plane that were by each other.  With Southwest you're suppose to check-in 24 hours before your flight to get your boarding order, but we forgot and did it hours later then we wanted to.  So we hope we are able to get to a computer Thursday evening so we have a better boarding order on Friday.
The flight was really good for the most part.  I felt really good and was super happy that I wasn't feeling really sick...until we started descending and flew into the worse turbulence that I have ever experienced.   I really thought I was going to throw up.  I started crying because I felt so sick and really didn't want to throw up...I was very emotional.  I had Tony fan me with a paper and that helped a lot.  I was very happy when we landed without me throwing up.
We then took a train to the luggage claim and waiting about 15 minutes for our bag before going to the car rental bus to take us to get our car.  The Denver Airport is a very large airport.  I was very surprised by it's size.  We got to the car rental place and we were able to pick out the car that we wanted.  We went with a small SUV and we were on our way to the hotel, Embassy Suites.  It was about 15 minutes away and it wasn't hard to find.  We had a nice room.  They had a little reception with chips and veggie and drinks.  We just got some soda before heading out to find some place to eat dinner.
We decided to go to Texas Roadhouse.  I couldn't believe it was already 7:00 pm.  It seemed like we totally lost like six hours of our day.  Tony and I shared some yummy food and then headed back to the hotel to rest.
This morning we ate a super yummy made to order breakfast (it's why we love Embassy).  Then we got ready, packed, and now we are going to head towards our next hotel.  We will probably find a Costco and walk around it before we can check into our hotel.  We figured it's better to do that then just sit in our hotel room.
So far it's been a fun trip and we start the "Canning School" today...should be interesting.

Last Day of School

Today is Josh's last day of Preschool.  Technically he has it on Thursday, but since the kids will be at Tony's parents house it wouldn't be worth it for Margie to have to take him all the way here just for an hour and half preschool.  So today is the day.  Josh has really enjoyed "Josh school" and it has been nice for him to have something special that is just his.  It has also really helped his speech.  It still isn't where it should be, but it is lots better.

Tyler's last day of school is tomorrow.  Since Tony and I will be gone, I took his last day of school picture today.  He was really excited to give his teacher her Thank You gift.  He wanted to hold it all the way to school and then when it came time to go into his class he totally forgot about it and so I had to give it to his teacher.  It was nice the thank her for a great year.  She told me that if she had a class full of Tyler's she would have no problems.  She is a great teacher and Tyler has had a great Kindergarten year.
Tony and I leave for Denver this afternoon.  We are super excited for the trip and hope that all goes well here at home and with the kids.  A huge thank you to Margie for taking our kids while Tony and I are in Denver.  It is so nice to know that our kids are well taken care of and having a super good time.  Tyler and Josh are super excited to have three sleep overs at grandmas.  They are so lucky.

Park Fun

For Memorial Day we pretty much just spent the day at home.  We did go to Sam's Club, that was a hoot.
We decided to go to the park by our house and we all had a good time.  Some dude was there "reserving" the park for some party, so we didn't stay too long.  His music was pretty annoying and loud.  Besides that we had a good time and the kids had fun with the camera.  They all wanted lots of pictures, so lots of pictures is what they got.  We just love these kids so much!

Silly Days

Josh was riding his bike earlier today with his training wheels on, so I asked if he was ready to try to ride without is training wheels.  He said he wanted to try, so Tony took off his training wheels and they had a go at it.  Josh tried for about five minutes and then was done.  Then he tried again later for another five minutes before he was done.  I don't think that he is ready for it. Tony says that he hasn't committed himself to it, so my guess is the training wheels will go back soon.
After the short try on the bike, Josh went and got his scooter and was riding like a champ on it.  He loves riding his scooter and he is really quite impressive on it.  He goes really fast and can go on just one leg for a long time.  He is so much fun to watch.  He does scare me sometime because he gets moving so fast.  I am glad that they like to be out and be active, but they make me nervous.
Once I got out the camera to take pictures of Josh trying to ride without training wheels, Tyler wanted to show off his mad skills.  So he did "no fingers" and had me take his picture.  I am very glad that he is sticking with small tricks like "no fingers" versus tricks like "no hands."  Tyler still really likes riding his bike and asks to ride often.  I let him ride in the drive way, but he mostly wants to ride in the road and back and forth from our neighbors driveways.  I wont just let him ride in the street unless I am outside watching.  I just want to make sure that the boys are watching for cars.
I then of course had to get a pictures of our sweet Megan girl.  She loves to play outside and can't get enough.  She still has no fear at all.  She has started jumping more.  She can jump off the fireplace and does pretty good.  She sometimes tries to jump off the couch, so doesn't do so good with that one.  It's just too high.  She scares me a lot that she's going to fall and get hurt.  Even Tyler has started telling Megan that she is "freaking him out" when she's climbing on the side table by the couch.  She wants to be big like the boys.  And she is.

Oh These Kids

Earlier today I noticed that Megan had some baby powder on her pants.  I figured that some how she got it from the drawer and then I went into the bedroom and found that Josh was the one that had it and he was the one that dumped it out all over the room, himself, and Megan.  He didn't have any problem posing for a picture of him and his mess.  His foot is so white it looks like he's wearing a sock.  I vacuumed it up, but it didn't all come up.  Good thing I have learned to be super chill about stuff like this.
Megan has learned a couple new tricks this past weekend.  She now shakes her head no all the time.  You ask her a questions and she almost always shakes her head no.  Sometimes she will say "yah," but not all the time.  She is so darn cute when she is shaking her head.  She also says "hi" and she waves a lot more.  She has waved for a while with mainly her whole hand, but now she uses just her fingers and does it all the time.  After her nap she saw Tyler walk into the room and she got a big grin on her face and started waving to him.  She loves her Tyler and Tyler loves his Megan.
Tyler had his Cultural Night at school tonight.  He was really excited because he knew the dance and song really well.  He showed me a little of the dance and would sing me just a little of the song.  We all headed over to the school and got our spot on the hill waiting for it to start.  Margie and Lloyd met us there not long after we arrived.  The kindergartners were first and Tyler did great.  He was the first one in the line of the boys.  He participated and did all the actions he was suppose to.  We watched all the other classes and then listened to the choir.  Then the whole school sang a song together.  Tyler was in the very back and he was behind a tall girl so I didn't see him very well.  I did notice that he was dancing a long and it looked like he was singing out.  He said he got a little scared but he was brave.  He loved participating and was so happy to find us at the end.  Then grandma and grandpa took us out for some ice cream at Arctic Circle.  We all enjoyed the ice cream and the company and the kids really liked the ice cream and the play land.  What a good, fun day!

Tyler Lost His First Tooth

Tyler got his first loose tooth a couple of weeks ago.  We were all very excited for him.  I told him to just keep wiggling it.  So he has been working on it everyday.
The boys had their dentist appointments on Wednesday and the dentist said that it was really close to coming out.  The dentist also said that both the boys teeth looked really good and they should keep up the good work.  Both boys did great.  They got their x-rays and did the exams without a problem.  Really Tyler generally does good, it is Josh that has had problems in the past.
Thursday Tyler was eating an apple and made the tooth really loose.  It started bleeding a little but he didn't mind.  He did say that it hurt when he moved it and only requested soft foods.  So today I noticed it was really loose so after dinner I grabbed a tissue and pulled it straight out.  He cried for a minute and said it really hurt.  He wouldn't touch the tooth, I thought that was odd.  I told him to go look at his mouth in the mirror and he said, "Holy moly guacamole."  It was funny.  He also said that he is excited for his "parent tooth" to come in.  I told him it is called "adult teeth" and he said he likes to call it "parent teeth."  What a funny guy.  So excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight.  I wonder what she'll bring?

Bath Time

I have yet to take pictures of all three kids taking a bath together.  It normally doesn't happen like this, so I thought that I would try and get some bath tub pictures.  Well it's sad to say that these two are the best that I got.  I guess I will have to try again.  It's tough to get all them looking at me (let alone smiling) and not having their private parts showing.  I guess that's why people generally have bubbles in the tub.  I will have to do that next time.
All my kids love the bath, a nice hot bath.  When it was really hot a couple days ago I made a cool bath because we were all so hot and non of them liked it.  They all whined it was too cold.  They like them a nice hot bath.
Speaking of hot, we had to get a new swamp cooler.  Our old one had some problems so Tony found one on KSL.  It was an upgraded model then our old one, so we were glad to find it.  It took him a couple days (and four neighbor kids) to get it up and running, but now we have a "new to us" swamp cooler that is super powerful and feels great on hot days...and nights.

Kindergarten Graduation

Tyler had his Kindergarten graduation this morning.  I am not really sure why they had it three weeks before school got out, but it is nice to have it done.
Tony's mom came and parked at our house and we all walked over to the school.  Tyler went into his class and the rest of us went and found some seats in the cafeteria and waited for the show to start.
They have a side stage where the kids could either be on one side or the other so depending on where you sit you could totally not see your kid.  It's annoying.  Tyler was right around the corner from where we were sitting so I ended up on the floor right in front of him video tapping his songs.
He didn't really sing out and acted like he was a little scared.  He kept his hands in his pockets and just sort of sang the songs.  I think he gets a little stage fright.  He did look super cute though.  We are very proud of our Tyler and feel very lucky to have him in our lives.

We Love Our Cousins

Today after I picked up the boys from school we went over to Grandma Margie's so that the boys could play with their cousin Gabe.  After they played for a couple of hours we went to my parents so that I could pick up my camera that I left there on Sunday.
Not long after we got there Averee and Hayden came home from school and came over to play.  The kids started out playing outside but then quickly came back in and played on the ipads.  It was pretty sad, but they played together so well that I couldn't really complain to much.  Megan had a good time playing with/by/around Kimball.  My kids love their grandmas houses and ask to go there often.  They were super lucky to get to go to both today!

Clark Party

Today we went to my parents to celebrate my mom and dad's birthdays.  There were a lot of us there so we had a good time.  We decided to do Mexican food for Cinco De Mayo.  Luckily it was really nice weather so the kids played outside most of the time.  I got to hold baby Gavin some more.  Megan was very interested in this baby that I was holding.  So I would put her on my other side and let her see the baby.  She was very tempted to take his binkey and even tried a couple times.  But I was pleasantly surprised how well she did with him.  She was soft and really liked to look at him.  It was fun to see her with him.
Today I had my first lesson in Relief Society as a member of the presidency.  I talked on the Atonement.  I thought that I did a pretty good job and I hope that someone heard something that they were looking to hear, a prayer that maybe I was able to answer.  That is one of the best things about teaching...answering prayers.  Now I have a couple more months to think about what I am going to talk about next.  That's the hardest part.

Tyler's 1st Soccer Game

Tyler had his first soccer game of the Spring season this morning.  Only 9 of the 11 kids came to the game.  Tyler did really good and scored three goals.  He also played goalie twice and did really good at blocking the ball and kicking it away.  He probably would have scored more goals if the other team didn't have two kids standing in front of the goal.  That made it so that none of our kids could score a goal.  Tony finally told the other coach that he can't have two goalies and he seemed annoyed that Tony would say anything.  Just because your getting beat doesn't mean you don't have to follow the rules.  Tyler had a really good time and played really well.  Tony did a good job coaching, as usual.  Tyler is probably the best of the team but their are a couple others who seem to play decently.  Tony has his work cut out for him.
It was nice being able to watch all of Tyler's game.  Last season I was always with Josh, so I missed a lot.  We asked Josh if he wanted to play again this season and he told us no.  Of course when it came time for Tyler to play then Josh said he changed his mind and now wanted to play.  Poor kid, by then it was too late.  Josh did good sitting and watching.  Megan got really bored fast and just wanted to walk on the field or get into other peoples stuff.  I defiantly missed grandma and grandpa coming and helping me out with Megan.
After the game we went to WalMart and then home.  Then later we ended up Costco and Sam's Club.  We got Josh a new car seat so that we can move Megan into the one Josh was using.  It is always fun to walking around the big box stores and see what fun things they have.  We are so much fun!

McDonald's Fun

Today we went to McDonald's with my friend Rachel and her kids.  She has three kids all about the same age as our kids.  So after Tyler and her son Noah got done with Kindergarten we picked them up and headed to McDonald's.
The kids were so excited to go with friends to go and eat and play.  Josh kept saying, "Tyler play with Noah and I play with Livy."  He was really excited.
Lucky for us McDonald's just sent out coupons and one of them was for a free kids meal.  So I got one and then a meal for me and we all shared it together.  We just love when we get good coupons from places.
The kids played pretty good but got bored after about 45 minutes and just wanted to play with the toy.  We have a rule that they get the toy once we leave the restaurant that way the kids can just focus on playing on the play land while we are there.  I figure they can play with the toy at home, but we don't have that play land at house.  It also makes it easier to leave the restaurant because then the get the toy.  The only way that I could get Tyler to smile for a picture was to have him hold up the toy, he was very excited.
The toy was "Spy" gear and Tyler told Rachel that he wanted to be a spy.  He also told her that spy's are married, he knew that for a fact.  So he had to wait until he was married to be a spy.  I have no idea where he got that information.  It's so funny what kids think.  Just yesterday Tyler told me he wanted to be a teacher, scientist, and artist when he grows up.  How quickly things change.
Megan was asleep for the first part of our visit.  She feel asleep in the car on the way to get Tyler from school.  Once she woke up she had some lunch and then was super excited to get down and play.  Luckily they had a good little area for toddlers and she liked going in and out of the play area.  After a while she decided that she wanted to climb on the slide and start climbing up it...this made it hard for all the little boys coming down the slide.  Luckily the boys were watching out for her and she never got trampled.  It was fun going with friends and we plan on doing it again!

Tyler's Trip to The Zoo

Tyler had his first field today to the zoo.  He was so excited to ride the bus for the first time.  He said he had a good time.  He liked seeing the animals and the Lego animals.  He didn't have class this morning because all the kindergarten classes went to the zoo together this afternoon.  It was kind of weird having Tyler home this morning with us while Josh was at school.  It was nice to have a little change in our schedule and day.  Josh was really sad that he couldn't go with Tyler on his field trip.  Josh thinks he should do everything that Tyler does.  It is pretty cute how thoughtful they are about each other.
We can't believe that their is only one month left of school.  One more month of kindergarten and young three preschool.  Josh will have two more years of preschool and Tyler will be on to first grade.  Tyler is so excited about being a first grader.  He's looking forward to having three recesses and eating lunch at school.  I think that I will miss him and it'll be hard having him gone all day.  These kids grow up too fast.
