Cinderella at Murray Art's in the Park

The girls and I got to go see Cinderella at the Murray Ampatheather on Friday night with my mom.  It was a good production, and we all had a good time at the show.

Tyler got his Driver's License

Tyler finally got his driver's license.  Tony took him to the DLD, and he had to take a little written test before he went out for the driving test.

He did a good job on his driving test and passed allowing him to get his license.  For some reason he didn't think that he could smile for the picture, so his picture is terrible.  But he got it, and we are proud of him and this next chapter in his life, even though it costs us lots of money.

Oregon Trip 2023 - Day 11: Going Home

After eating breakfast and checking out, we got on the road towards home.  We had no problems and just stopped for potty breaks, lunch, and gas.  We were pretty worried about how Koda was doing, so we wanted to get back as quickly as possible.
We were all very happy to see that Koda was doing very well when we got home.  He ran across the street from Kunzler's house to our house and then proceeded to go up and down the stairs multiple times.  He still was struggling with his back leg, but he wasn't near as bad as we thought he could be.  We were all happy to be home from our long trip and happy to be with Koda.

Oregon Trip 2023 - Day 10: Coos Bay to Ontario, OR

We got checked out of our cottage nice and early to get on the road.  The drive to Ontario was a good one.  We had no problems and made it to our hotel in good time.

We checked into the hotel and got ready to go swimming.  The pool was nice and big, and we had the whole place to ourselves.

After swimming, Tony picked us up some dinner and brought it back to our hotel.  We then spent the rest of the night relaxing in our room.

Oregon Trip 2023 - Day 9: Visiting Graves, D & D, Beach Walk, & Sunset at Cape Arago

After we all ate our ice cream, we stopped by the cemetery to visit our grandparents' graves.  It is always nice to remember them.

When we got back to the cottages, most of the older kids played D & D with Teagan being the game master.  They had so much fun playing, and it was fun to watch them play, for a little while. The game ended many hours later.

Allie didn't really get into playing the game, so she played at the cottages and walked on the beach with Tony and me.  The sun came out and it was a super pretty day to walk on the beach and collect seashells.

We then ate dinner at our cottages and then drove up to Cape Arago to watch the sun go down and look for sea lions and whales.  We didn't see any of those animals, but we did enjoy the beautiful sunset.  We all love Cape Arago and loved being there together as a family.  It was the perfect way to spend our last night in Coos Bay.

Oregon Trip 2023 - Day 9: Hike Above Bastendorff Beach & Facerock Ice Cream

This day we woke up bright and early to a call from our neighbor Max who was watching Koda.  He was letting us know that Koda's back leg was hurt, and he wasn't putting any weight on it.  He was worried, and so were we.
We decided to have him take Koda into the vet and have him looked at.  The vet ran many tests and found out that Koda had a tear in his knee.
Koda is too old for surgery, so the vet prescribed meds and recommended we buy him a leg brace.
It was a very stressful morning, and we were worried about having to put him down.  But we felt better after finding out the problem and how to solve it.  We were very thankful to our sweet neighbor and his love for our sweet old Koda.
After all the drama with Koda we were able to go on a hike up above Bastendorff.  We love going on this hike with the family because it's close, easy, super fun, and has lots of fun spots for taking pictures.
After our hike we went back to the cottages to get ready to go out to lunch.  We decided to try a new to us pizza place in town.  It was decent food, and it was fun trying something new.  After we ate lunch, we then met up with Julie and Kevin's family at Facerock for some yummy ice cream.  We can't get enough of that stuff.  This is where Allie picked up her souvenir, a stuffed cow that she named Milkshake.

Oregon Trip 2023 - Day 8: Estuary Hike & Beach Toys @ Sunset Beach

We love the estuary and love doing the hike. After doing my morning walk with Juile, we ate breakfast and then we all got ready to go to the estuary.
It was nice and sunny and perfect weather for a hike through the forest.
All the kids, and grown-ups, all did so good.  We think we went about three miles and loved all the cute bridges and quality cousin time.
After we finished our hike, we then drove back to the cottages to eat lunch before we got ready to go play at Sunset Beach.
We all had a great time playing in the water and with the water toys.  It wasn't as sunny when we went to the beach, but we didn't mind.  The kids loved kayaking, paddle boarding, and playing in the water.  The younger kids also played with the sand toys and loved it.
Tony took the girls out in the kayak and they loved going on the water with dad.  I took lots of pictures and enjoyed relaxing in my beach chair.  It was fun watching everyone and being with family.  Sunset Beach day is always one of the favorite days of our Oregon trip.
