The ward was super nice. Many nice people talked to us and made us feel so welcomed. They were very hopeful that we were moving into their ward, always a nice feeling.
After church we went back to our hotel, changed, and then checked out of our hotel to start towards Coos Bay. We knew we wanted to stop by a Costco on our way, so we looked for things for us to do along the way.
We saw that the Safari Park was pretty close to the Costco, so we found tickets on Groupon and drove to the park. We went into the visitor center area first. They have many animals in that area, and it feels more like a little zoo. They have a bird enclosure that we went into, and we paid some money to get some bird food and all these little birds would fly on our hands to get the food. It was so fun to see the kids with the birds. Allie was the most hesitant, but by the end she too was feeding them out of her hand. This was my favorite part of the walk-through area. We all love animals, so it's always fun to see them up close.
After that we drove our car through the animal park. We have been to this park before, so we knew what to expect and it was very enjoyable. This time we got to see a mama giraffe with her baby walk right in front of our car. It was so cute to see them so close. Definitely the highlight of the trip for me.
After the Safari Park, we then went to Costco to pick up somethings for a stay in Coos Bay. We ended up see Julie, Kevin, and Wendy's families while we were there. They all wanted a cheap lunch and gas too. After our shopping we then drove to Coos Bay. We decided to stop at Walmart first to pick up the rest of the food we would need for the week.
