Oregon Trip 2023 - Day 3: White Water Rafting & Lunch

We got up early to drive to the place where we would check into our rafting trip.  After everyone got there, we checked in and got on our life jackets.  We then loaded the buses and they drove us up the road to where we would start our rafting adventure.

We then broke up into groups for three different raffs and then got on the water.  It was such a fun time.  We all had paddles, except for Allie.  She got to sit in-between Tony and me.

The kids all did so good paddling and listing to our guide.  We spent a lot of time floating the river more than rowing the river.  We did have some pretty fun rapids, but not many of them and they were not hard to go through.  I am pretty sure we are all experts now and ready for the big ones.

There were three kayaks that the kids took turns using.  Really, only Averee and Josh switched kayaks.  I wasn't sure if Josh could do it and I didn't want him to do it at first, but he told me he could do it, so he tried.  And Josh did great.  He had no problem at all, and I shouldn't have doubted him at all.
Some of the kids jumped into the water and swam for a little while.  Megan wanted to get into the water but was hesitant.  So, she hung on to the end of the raft wavering, but then Grandma pushed her into the water.  Megan did not like that at all.  So, we helped her back into the raft and after she calmed down, she was able to get into the water by herself and she enjoyed that.

Once we got back to the starting point, we all got out of the rafts and got them onto the grass.  Then it was lunch time.  They had a nice spread out for us for lunch and it was nice eating on the deck by the river.

After lunch we hung out on the lawn chatting and the kid's played games.  It was such a nice day and so much fun being on the water.
