After we checked out of our hotel six of us went to church. We were able to go to the ward that Lloyd served in 50 years ago. A few people were still in the ward from back then. It was a lovely ward and nice to take the sacrament while on vacation. We didn't stay for the second hour. We met up with the other four who were waiting for us across the street.
We then all drove to the Preston Temple. It is closed right now (which is why we didn't go earlier to do a session). They had a huge multi-stake center across from the temple. We went in a used the bathroom and chatted with one of the Bishops. We then drove by the MTC that was also located on the same land as the temple and chapel. It was very small and really neat to see. We then drive to Chorley and had an early supper with another one of Lloyds mission friends. He was really nice and made us all such a yummy dinner. His wife had passed, so it was just him. It was Father's Day this day and he thought we wouldn't be able to get in a restaurant because they'd all be full, so he offered to feed us. He was funny and so nice to fed us all. We then stopped in Chester, which is a cute little town that is surrounded by an ancient Roman wall. We were able to walk along some of the wall and see where they used to have an old stadium-type thing. We then drove into Wales and stayed in the cutest little town called Ruabon. Everything was in Welsh and it is so pretty. We stayed at the cutest bed and breakfast and we all loved it and said it was the favorite place that we had stayed. Each of our rooms were so big and super cute.
We all then went and explored the town on our own. Tony and I went to the local market with Tim and Suzanne and bought a little thing of ice cream and a couple other things. We met up with Lloyd and Margie while we continued to walk around the cute town. We went over a cute bridge and just enjoyed being in Wales. It was such a loverly night. Nate and Amy were also walking around on their own while Derek and Don got some food. We then all went back to our rooms and got a good nights rest.
