After we ate lunch, we walked along the street where they had some shops. We found a fun fairy backdrop and we all found our souvenirs for the trip in the local shops. Josh really wanted a pioneer hat so that he could look like his favorite missionary, and a newsie. He found one that he liked. I got a shirt. Tyler got a CTR ring, Megan got a necklace and Allie got a journal.
We didn't have much time before the tours closed, so we went by the Blacksmith and Farrier houses. We were able to hear about how they made the horseshoes and then how they made the wagon wheels. They had to make so many wheels in such a short amount of time to help so many saints leave Nauvoo. They were both very interesting to learn about. We even got a small horseshoe from the blacksmith
We loved them both very much. The band, which was also young missionaries, was fantastic. Very entertaining. They played fun songs, and some were interactive with the audience. They did the chicken dance and had the kids go up on stage. After they did swing dancing and Tyler and Megan staid up on stage and tried to swing dance.
Then the main performance started, and they were all so good. Great singing and amazing dancing. Josh found his favorite missionary, Elder Shaw after the show. We made sure and got a picture with him. We all loved the show, and it was the perfect way to end our day in Nauvoo. We then drove back to our hotel for the night.

So, we decided to walk down the Trail of Hope and read all the signs about the different saints who left Nauvoo. The trail leads right down to the river where the pioneers crossed to start their journey west. It was a neat place to walk, and they had nice benches at the edge of the water and a large statue of Jospeh and Hyrum Smith.
After our walk it was time to go to the big performance at the Outdoor Stage. The performing missionaries put on a big musical number each night and the Nauvoo Brass Band does a pre-show performance.
