Our first stop in Nauvoo was to the visitor center. We got a map and talked with a missionary about Nauvoo and the different sites to see and the performances that can be seen as well. They also have a large display of temple, inside and out. That was cool to show the kids the different rooms in the temple that we had just gone to that morning. They also had interactive things for the kids to do and places where you could sign into your church account to see if you had ancestors who lived in Nauvoo. Of course, we had tons of family who were pioneers.
After the visitor center, we went over to take a ride on the wagon that was pulled by horses. The kids loved petting all the horses and they were super sweet. The senior missionary giving the tour talked about the places we were riding past and the people who lived there. It was a fun ride through the trees and some farmlands.
We then drove to the check out some of the pioneer houses and activities. We first found where they were doing pioneer activities. Tyler and Josh liked walking on the stilts and the girls liked dressing up in the pioneer clothes. They also had some other games that they kids played. After that we decided to eat some lunch. We went to a local hamburger place
