It's scheduled. Not this Tuesday, but next Tuesday I go under the knife. We met the doctor yesterday and he said that the cyst definitely needs to come out and soon. He said that it was about the size of a new babies head and because of the size he would probably have to do a c-section to remove the cyst. He did say that he would scope it out first to see if he can do laparscopy surgery first, but chances were that he would have to cut me open. If he can do laparscopically then it is same day surgery and about a week recovery, but a c-section would be at least one night in the hospital and a 3-4 week recovery. I really can't believe this is happening. I never thought that I would ever have to get a c-section, let a lone one that doesn't result in having a baby to take home.
I asked him how this would effect me having more children and he said that it shouldn't. He said I might lose my ovary and/or tube, but that I could still get pregnant with just one of those things. The doctor was really nice and funny, so I feel confident in him. I generally see a midwife, so this is one of the doctors that she works with. Luckily Tony has plenty of sick leave, so he will take a couple weeks off if needed and then we will just have to ask for help from both our families after that. Tyler shouldn't be the problem, it will be holding and picking up Josh...I still can't believe all this.
On a brighter note on Thursday Josh got to sleep over at Grandma Margie's house while Tony and I took Tyler to the ward swim party. It didn't start until 8:30 because that is the soonest that they can reserve the pool, so that is why we didn't take Josh. We all had a great time. Tyler went down the slide at least 25 times and even went off of the diving board. That was a little scary because he went so far down in the water, but he was fine. Then we dropped Tyler off Friday morning so that Tony and I could go to my doctor's appointment. Then we got the safety and emissions done on the Trail Blazer and found out that we needed new tires so it didn't pass...so it was off to buy new tires we couldn't afford. Lucky for us we found a good deal through Sam's Club and worked out a deal to pay it off slowly so it's not such a big hit to us now, especially since I'm now going to have tons of hospital bills.
Tyler then got to take a turn to sleep at Grandma's and so when Josh wakes up we will go and get him. We are so lucky to have such great parents who are great Grandparents. A big thanks to Tony's mom for watching the boys and for helping us in tight situations! Even with all that going on I know that we truly are blessed. Things could be a lot worse then they are. Thank heaven's for good insurance, good husband, good kids, and good family!

I'm sorry to hear that you have to have surgery. I wish that we lived closer to help out. You will be in our prayers, I hope that it will be a speedy recovery.

That is a big-time bummer, but I'm glad they found it! Good thing you were in tune! Good luck with everything!
