Some more fun stuff

Tyler had his first soccer game yesterday.  I would like to say that he did such a good job and had such a good time, but I can't.  He refused to even get on the field and play.  That morning I got him all dressed and ready to go and then Tony came in and told me that they were gray shirts today.  Tyler wanted to wear the red side, not the gray side...thus started the problem.  I let him wear the red side until we got to the soccer field and then he threw a fit when we changed him back to gray.  He then refused to do anything.  I was not very happy.  Tony's mom even came to watch Tyler play and he sat on the side line like a baby.  I couldn't believe it.  Maybe he is still too young to play?  It didn't really help that they didn't have any practices before this and the kids had never really met, so it was pretty unorganized.  Maybe now that he has seen what it is suppose to be and what he suppose to do, he'll do better for the next game.  No game next week because of the holiday, but the next Saturday.  I hope he at least tries then.

It has still been pretty hot so I got out the swimming pools for the boys to play in.  Josh LOVED playing in his little pool with just a couple inches of water and Tyler liked having two pools to play in.  Tony set up the big umbrella so that Josh would be shaded.  Josh loves to put things in his mouth and just hold it there.  He'll put a toy hammer, ducks, blocks, he's not picky.  It is so funny to see him crawl around the house with toys sticking out of his mouth.  It was fun watching them play in the water.  They are such cute kids, I am so lucky.

I am feeling almost back to my old self again.  I am glad that this is almost all over and that we can all go back to normal now.  Tony will go back to work on Monday.  It was nice having him home for so long.  I think that he enjoyed being home.  I would like to say that it made him appreciate all that I do by staying home taking care of the house and the kids, but I don't think that it did.  Either he already appreciated me and what I do so he didn't need his mind changed, or he just really thinks it's not that big of deal.  Who knows?  He's not really the type to talk about that kind of stuff.  Either way, I am glad that he was able to stay home and help me while I was down.  Now back to the grind.

It's too bad he didn't play. I have been meaning to ask you how it went. I think he will do better next time, now that he's seen how it all works.

I am so sad I didn't know about it earlier! You are definitely in my thoughts and prayers--and I am hoping that you're at the tail end of recovery! So glad they found and removed the bad stuff--and hope it leads to happy stuff in the future (near future!!!) LOVE YOU!
