Tyler's Red Carpet Award

Tyler received an award from the Jr High for high Citizenship.  They had the parents drop off the kids in front of the school on the far side, then the kids walked down the sidewalk towards the front of the school with teachers and councilors clapping and cheering for the students.  We drove down the bus lane watching Tyler walk by his teachers and then he received his award at the front door where they took his picture.
It was a very different awards night then they would normally do, but I thought they did a great job celebrating the kids and keeping their "social distancing".
After we let Tyler choose where we went to dinner.  He picked Texas Roadhouse.  This was our first time that we have eaten out inside a restaurant since we went to Texas Roadhouse for Tyler's birthday in March.  It was nice to get out and feel a little more normal.  They did have every other table closed so that people aren't sitting next to each other.  The servers all wore masks and gloves.  But the food was good and we had a good time getting out celebrating the end of the school year.  Woohoo!!!
