Happy Haloween

Halloween was pretty fun this year.  I didn't buy a costume for Allie because I knew that she wouldn't go trick-or-treating and I didn't want to buy anything that she could only wear one time.  When my visiting teachers visited me they brought me a cute little outfit for Allie that was perfect for her Halloween outfit.  She made one really cute skeleton.

Megan was an adorable Minnie Mouse.  We got her costume at Costco and she loved it.  She wanted to put it on and play with it before Halloween, but I made her wait so that it stayed nice.  She got it pretty dirty by the end of her trick-or-treating adventure.  She also came home without her Minnie ears and we weren't able to find them anywhere.  I am pretty bummed because they match her dress perfectly.  Ah well.
Josh was a knight.  This is the costume that Tyler has worn the last couple of years that we also got from Costco a couple years ago.  It is a cute costume that has held up well and Josh was happy that he finally fit into the costume...and he got a new sword so that was extra awesome.

Tyler was Spiderman this year.  I don't really like the super hero costumes with the muscles and the mask, but that is what he really wanted to be.  We got it from Costco (we love Costco) and it was a pretty good deal, so he got lucky this year.

The weather was pretty close to perfect for trick-or-treating.  It is always nice when you don't have to put a coat on over your kids costume.  Tony took the kids around the neighborhood for about an hour and a half before the kids were all done and wanted to come home.  Once they were home they all took turns handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters coming to our house.  I think that they still have just as much fun handing out the candy as they do getting it.  We had a lot of kids this year and almost ran out of candy.
I can't believe Halloween is already over.  We all had a great time and we are excited for Thanksgiving and then Christmas.  I sure love the Holiday season.

School Halloween Fun

Since the boys don't have school tomorrow because it's the end of the term, they celebrated Halloween today.  I told Tyler to pose as Spiderman and Josh as a pirate and this is what I got.  Megan was sad that she didn't get to dress up in her costume, but she got to wear a cute Halloween shirt.  They are super cute kids who are super silly.  Glad they are mine.

Allie's 2 Month Check-up

Allie turned two months old two days ago.  I can't believe it.  I took her to the doctor this morning and these are her current stats:
Weight: 10 lbs 13 oz (40%)
Height: 23 inches (75%)
Head: 39 cm (62%)
BMI: 11%
The doctors says that she looks really good.  She said that we need to do some neck exercises with her to make her neck more flexible, but besides that she was great.  She gave us four more small cans of formula (we LOVE free formula) and Megan some stickers.  Then Allie got her 3 shots and one oral vaccine.  She did really good for getting poked three times.  She cried for a minute but then calmed down quickly.  Poor baby.
Allie has started to smile.  She doesn't do it tons yet, but she will do it.  She still giggles in her sleep.  It makes me so happy when she does it.  It is so adorable.  Makes my heart happy.  She is moving her head more back and forth.  She likes to be in her bouncer and watch me cook, clean, or watch her siblings play.  She is getting better at sleeping longer at nights.  The other night she slept 8 whole hours between feedings.  She is gassy and bubbly, but besides that she is a happy baby.  She doesn't seem to mind tummy time, which always makes it easier to do.  Her eyes are a very pretty blue.  It'll be interesting to see if they stay blue.  She went to all of church on Sunday and did great.  We love our Allie and we are so glad that she's part of our family.  She makes our family complete!

Lazy Afternoon

Allie was hanging out in her bouncer while I was doing some house work and was doing great.  She started getting a little fussy so I hurried and finished cleaning the bathroom so I could get her out and hold her.  When I got closer I noticed that she had fallen asleep.  She wasn't even fussing that much, but I guess she was very tired.
While Allie was sleeping in her bouncer, Josh and Megan were watching a show and eating some pretzels.  It is good to be a kid!
Megan doesn't have on any pants because she is in her underwear and it is hard for her to pull down her pants when she wants to go potty.  So I just leave her in a shirt and underwear when we are at home.  Got to love potty training!
Megan is actually doing really good lately with the potty training.  Some days she doesn't have any accidents at all.  It is still a work in progress, but I am happy to say we are getting closer every day.

Fun at the Farm - Part 2

On our tractor ride we went around their fields and then ended at a big pumpkin patch.  The kids were told they could pick any pumpkin they wanted and as many as they wanted.  The kids loved being able to pick out whatever they wanted.
Megan wanted a little green pumpkin.
Josh found a big orange pumpkin and then chose little white pumpkin - who knew they had white pumpkins?
The kids on the trailer with all their pumpkins.
Tyler wanted to find the biggest pumpkin.  He found a pretty big one.
Tony and Allie on the trailer.  I found the smallest pumpkin I could for Allie.  It was pretty mushy so we didn't keep it after we took the picture.
Tyler holding onto his white pumpkin.
Next to the really big barn on the farm their was this cute little barn with the front all decorated with pumpkins and corn stocks.  Perfect for pictures!  After we picked our pumpkins and finished our hayride we took some pictures.  After this Ken gave each of our kids a bag of popcorn before we headed home.  A good time was definitely had by all!
Joshua!
Tyler!
Megan!
Josh, Tyler, and Megan!
Josh, Tyler, Allie, and Megan!
Tony, Michelle, and Allie - Tyler took this picture...not too shabby.

Fun at the Farm - Part 1

After the soccer game we went on a little trip up north to Layton to go to a farm.  The Dibble farm to be exact.  Tony works with a guy, Ken, whose parents own the farm and he also works there when he's not working at the cannery.  He invited us to come up to his farm and pick some pumpkins.  I had been wanting to go to his farm so I was glad that he offered.
His family farms potatoes, onions, pumpkins, corn, and popcorn.  He boys got to put the dried ear of corn in the hand cranked "thing" that takes the corn off the cob.

It was kind of neat to see how they get popcorn.  The boys liked doing it.  Megan was a little too short to do it, but she liked watching.
Tony and Allie stayed back and watched the popcorn action.
Tyler, Megan, Josh, Allie, and Tony sitting on the hay waiting for the tractor hayride to start.
Our sweet family of six on the hayride.  It was such a nice day.  Super sunny and warm.
Tyler driving the tractor.
Megan driving the tractor.
Josh driving the tractor.
Tony by the tractor.  The kids loved playing on the tractor and pretending to drive it.
The tractor had really big wheels.

Last Soccer Game

Tyler (and Tony) had their last game of the season today.  It was the make up game for the game that was cancelled due to weather.
The team played really well and didn't let the other team score at all.  The other team wasn't very good, I felt kind of bad for them.
Tony did a great job with his kids and really helped them develop their skills and play better soccer.  I could really tell a difference in many of his players from the beginning of the season to today.
This league has a indoor soccer league and Tyler and Josh said that they would like to play on it.  When we told the team that Tony was going to coach again a bunch said that they wanted to be on his team again.  I think that says a lot about the coach when parents want their kid to play on his team.  Tony has been told this a lot in his soccer coaching "career."  He really is so good with the kids.  He is also really fair.  He has all the kids play all the positions and doesn't play favorites or give Tyler any special treatment.
Josh likes to play in the trees while Tyler plays soccer.  He was sad at the beginning of the season when he wasn't playing but he quickly got over it.  He did say that he wanted to play soccer again so we are going to see how he does in indoor soccer.
Megan likes to play in the trees too, but she doesn't get to climb them so much.  She mostly plays around the trees.  Allie has been good to chill in her car seat or in our arms.
Today some of the cousins were at the game because they had spent the night at grandma's and came with her and grandpa to see Tyler play.  Tony's parents come to almost ever game and it is so nice to have them support our kids in their activities.  It is also really nice to have them there to help me with the kids.  Grandpa is so good to take the kids to the bathroom so I can stay and watch the game and Margie always helps entertain the kids and keeps her eyes on them with me.

Allie is so Cute!

My friend and neighbor, Ambre, got Allie this cute outfit and our neighbors, Kunzler's, got Allie the cute headband.  I thought she was looking super duper cute so we had to have a photo shoot.  She did a great job posing for the pictures.  Megan really wanted to get into the pictures too, so she got into the action.  Megan hadn't gotten ready for the day yet, but I think she is super cute too, even with bed head and pajamas.

Allie's Blessing

Today Tony blessed Allie.  We had almost all of our family there to support us.  We were just missing Nate and his family and Wendy and her family. It was really nice seeing both sides of our family in sacrament with us today and then at our home.  We are super blessed to have such great family support.  Allie was blessed in the same dress as Megan that was made out of Tony's Nana's wedding dress.  Tony's mom, aunt, sister, nieces, and his daughters have all been blessed in that dress.  It was an honer to have Allie carry on the tradition.
Here are the highlights of what Tony said in the blessing:
  • Bless to grow and be strong
  • Be an inspiration to others
  • Strength and courage to share the gospel
  • Be a light to the world and an example to others
  • Blessed with an understanding of the gospel
  • Get an education
  • Serve a mission if you desire
  • Marry in the temple
It almost didn't happen today.  Tony filled out the papers and worked everything out a couple of weeks ago but then today the Bishop was without his counselors and his executive secretary and so he didn't have it on his paper.  So when the bishop started saying the sacrament hymn information Tony had to get up and stop the bishop.  It was super weird, but we had all our family there and Allie all ready, so we really wanted to do it then.  Tony did a great job and it was a nice day.  We love you dear Allie.
