Summer Trip 2020 - Day 6: Lucas Lodge

We decided last year that we wanted to take a break from the jet boats this year, but we still wanted to go to lunch at Lucas Lodge in Agnus, Oregon.  So, we all drove the hour and a half to Gold Beach, and then another hour to Agnus.  Our little family stopped in Gold Beach to go to the gift shop at Jerry Jet Boats.  The kids all found their souvenirs and Tony found me a comfy hoody.  A very successful trip to the gift shop.  We then went to the bathroom before the hour drive up to Agnus.
Once we got there, we parked and hung out outside before they rang the dinner bell.  We then all sat at a huge table, and they brought us a huge, delicious meal.  They are known for their fried chicken and biscuits.  Their chicken was good, but it was the gravy that "took the cake".  The biscuits were good as always, but man-o-man, that gravy was so good.  We loved everything and all got stuffed.  After lunch we took family pictures and hung out around the lodge.  After a while we decided to start our journey back.  It was a long drive for lunch, but it was a fun and delicious adventure.

The lady at the lodge told us of a short cut that saved us 15 minutes, and that was so nice.  We stopped at the jam place and got our bear pictures, before going to the original Facerock in Bandon.  We were the first ones there and got our ice creams.  The others came in slowly after us.  After we finished, we went back to the cottages.  We then hung out around there for the rest of the night.
