Disneyland - Big Thunder, Space Mountain, & Guardians

The very first ride we went on the first day at Disneyland was Big Thunder.  Allie was actually tall enough (just barely).  So we all went as a whole family.
Allie was super nervous and not sure about what to expect.  Tony went with Allie and held on to her tight.  She seemed pretty happy and excited once she sat down, but by the end of the ride she was crying.  She didn't like it so much.
Megan was excited at first, but decided it was a little too fast for her.  Grandma Margie talked her into going on the ride another time (by bribing her with the promise of a sucker) and she did much better.  I think she just needed to know what to expect of the ride.
I am hoping that is how it is for Allie too and each time we go she will get better and better on the rides.  Josh used to be afraid of the darker rides (even Pirates) but now he will go on all the rides without any problems.  The only ride he hadn't gone on was Guardians of the Galaxy.  I told him I wasn't going to make him go on the ride but I thought that he should try it because he liked all the other rides.  He didn't want to do it, but we were able to talk him into going at least once.  He did it!  He said it was okay, he didn't hate it but didn't love it.  He just didn't want to go again that day.  Grandma did buy him a gift from the store.  Before when it was Tower of Terror she would buy the kids a shirt after their first time going on the ride.  They didn't have any shirts he liked so he got a Gru stuffed animal.
They still had three fast passes so I went with Tony and Tyler.  I really don't like that ride and didn't want to go, but Margie talked me into it since the ride is new.  I can't tell you enough how much I hated that ride.  I did not want to go, but forgot just how much I hated it.  I hate that they just have a seat belt to hold you in your seat.  I hate the feeling of going up and down that fast.  I held on so tight that at the end of the ride my hands were all messed up.  I was having muscle spasms and tears in my eyes.  I was not okay.  I can't believe that Tyler likes that ride.  I will never make a kid go on that ride.  I hate it...okay I am done venting.
