Josh's 4 Year Check-up

Josh had his 4 year old check-up today with Megan.  It is nice when they can do their check-ups together.  The doctor says that Josh is looking really good.  His speech is behind where it should be, but we already knew that and are working to improve it with the speech therapist.  She had a hard time understanding him and I had to translate a lot of what he said to her.  Here are Josh's stats:
Weight: 38 lbs (68%)
Height: 41.1 inches (69%)
BMI: 55%

I decided to have Josh get his shots at this appointment so that he could just get it over with and so that he would be protected.  He has to get the flu shot anyway, so what is two more shots...right?  He was super brave at first and laid down so well, but then cried a lot when he actually got the shots.  He cried and cried and cried.  I put his pants back on him and then it was Megan's turn for her shots.  She just had two.  One flu shot and some other one.  Megan did great.  She started whining when she first got them but then didn't even get to a full cry.  She was totally fine while Josh was crying like a baby.  He did calm down as we were leaving the office.  They both got a sticker and they liked that.

Josh is such a great kid.  He does tend to whine WAY to much, but it must be hard when you can't really talk very well and people have a hard time understanding what you are saying.  He has started eating his veggies tons better and eating regular food better.  It makes meal time so much better when he just eats his food.  Josh is really good on his scooter and is getting better on his bike.  I think that he will be ready to take the training wheels off soon.  We will probably wait until spring to try.
Josh has been a lot more polite lately as well.  He says thank you all the time and is becoming a better listener.  He likes going to preschool even though he never remembers what they do in the class.  He loves Tyler and loves to play with him all the time.  He mostly tolerates Megan.  Sometimes he plays nice with her and is sweet to her, but mainly she just bugs him.  She can be a pest to him.
We love our Joshua and feel so lucky to have him in our family!
