She said that he looked really good and he was able to answer all of her questions just fine. He did get the shots that he needs before he can start kindergarten. She said that we could wait until he was 5, but recommended doing them now. Tyler was really nervous about the shots and then cried a lot when he got them, but now I am glad that it is all over. He is still complaining every now and then that his leg hurts, but I think that he is just milking it so that I will give him what he wants. But he did get three shots, so I have been babying him a little. Then it was Josh's turn.

She also said that he looked really good. We told her that our only concern with Josh was that he wasn't talking much. He really only says a couple words - Mom, Dad, Ty, Yeah - he should be saying more at 18 months. The doctor said that he was really friendly and outgoing and he seemed to understand everything, so she wasn't worried about the not talking. She said that he was a smart kid and that the talking would come. So that was good to hear. We would just like the screaming to stop. She was a little concerned that he might not have enough iron because he doesn't eat much meat, so she did have us go down to the lap so they could draw his blood. He was a real trooper with that. They first tried to draw the blood from him arm, but couldn't get the vain so then they had to prick his finger. They got the blood they needed and then gave him a sucker. Josh didn't cry long, really Tyler cried much longer and harder then Josh. The doctor will call us if his iron is low. I guess we just wait and see.
