School Carnival

While I was in Hawaii the girls and Josh went over to the Elementary School and enjoyed the carnival they put on.  Tony was at Tyler's baseball game that day, so he gave them all some money to go over to the carnival.

They had a great time playing games and playing on all the bounce houses. I am glad that they were still able to go and have fun, even without their parents.

2024 HOMECOMING for Tyler

Tyler had a great time at the Homecoming dance.

He had a baseball game that morning and then came back home to get ready for their day activity.

They reserved the gym at our church and their group went and played games.  They played volleyball, chair soccer, and other games.

After they finished, they took their dates home to get ready for the dance.

They then picked up their dates and took them to the park to take pictures.  Sherri made Tyler and his date flowers, and she didn't quite drop them off in time, so after she dropped them off Tony and I drove over to the park and gave them their flowers.

They ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse and then went to the dance.  After the dance they went to a friend's house to watch a movie and have ice cream.

Tyler said he and Savannah had a great time and really enjoyed their group as well.  A little bittersweet that it's his last Homecoming dance in high school.  The beginning of the end.

Fun Randomness

After one of Megan's softball games, we went to Del Taco.  Allie wanted her picture taken in the playground. She is a good sport to come to most of the games.

Granger PTA got roped into handing out ice cream to the students after school one day.  It was madness!  So much ice cream and so many students.

I sold hoodies during Homecoming week at lunches and then at the game.  They had a carnival before the game, and I sold them then too.  I won't do that again; I will just stick to selling them at the game.  The kids had fun at the carnival and got lots of fun things.  Allie stayed with Tyler and his friends to the end of the football game and watched the fireworks.  It was very sweet of him to let her stay.

At Stake Conference the last song was Love at Home and Heidi Buchi took a picture of Megan singing to Josh.  Such a sweet little sister.

Josh got this note from a girl in his math class.  Apparently, he is funny, and she likes that.  He says he doesn't even know who she is, but Tyle is friends with her older brother, so that is pretty funny stuff.  Guess he needs to text her.

Birthday Dinner

Lloyd and Margie took the kids and us out to dinner for Allie and Josh's birthdays.  Allie chose The Olive Garden.

The food was really good, and we all enjoyed what we got.  They give free dessert when it is your birthday.  Since Josh is going sugar-free this quarter we picked out something yummy to take home for the rest of the kids and he took a picture with his sad face.

Fall Baseball & Softball Begins

Fall Baseball and Softball have begun.  Both Tyler and Megan are doing well.

Tyler is catching very well, and his hitting has been better too.  All that time practicing this summer seems to have paid off.

He does fall ball with the school and then the school is also doing a Saturday league with Rocky Mountain.  Makes for a lot of good baseball games.

Megan is with a new team this season.  They seem nice.  She has pitched a couple times and has gotten a couple good hits.  She is liking playing but isn't liking two practices a week and two games a week.  She thinks it's too much softball.   But that is how you get better.

We have another month or so of games, so that makes for a fun fall season.

2024 HOCO Ask & Answer

Tyler asked a girl name Savanah to the Homecoming dance.  He says that she likes to play card games at lunch, so that is why he went with the game theme.  He is excited to go to the dance and is very glad that he has a good group of kids to go with.

August Fun

We have had a good August.  Most of the time was spent in Oregon, and that was great.  But we have had some good time since getting back.

We have had some crazy storms this last week or so.  Tyler and I enjoyed standing on the porch watching the lighting and rain.

Megan went to Sam's Club with my mom and I and found a huge camping chair.  She thought it was pretty cool and she looked pretty cool sitting in it.

Allie sang the song that she had been learning in the stake choir to Grandma and Grandpa, and the rest of us.  She sounded really good and still really loves singing whenever she can.

Allie has new Activity Days leaders, and they have been doing some fun activities.  There last activity was going to the temple and having a little picnic.  They had lots of fun learning more about the temple and enjoying the beautiful flowers.

Family Dinner & Hang

Julie and her family came to town to take Averee to Snow College and to go to a farewell of Boyd's nephew.

They were going to go straight to Snow to drop off Averee, but a couple of things slowed them down and then we had a few crazy storms come through the valley.

So, they decided to stay at my parents' house, and we all went there to hang out with them.  We ended up going to dinner at Astro Burger and then we all went back to my parents to hang out.

We had a tour of their garden where Julie and pretended we were in Oregon with all the foliage.  It was really nice just hanging out with the family and having good conversation.

First Day of School 2024-2025

The kids have officially gone back to school.  Tony gave them all blessings the night before school started.  He did a great job, and I think the spirit told the kids exactly what they needed to hear.

Josh was the first to go to school.  They had freshman go two hours earlier than the other students.  So, Tyler drove Josh to school and then came home to walk Megan to school.  Then I walked Allie to school while Tyler drove himself back to school.

They all came home from school very happy.  Megan said it was a lot of walking.  They had the Jr. High kids go to all of their classes for ten minutes each so that they all knew where they were going, and then they did it all again.  And now she walks further to get to the Jr. High, so it is more walking.  Besides that, she said that she liked it.

They all have friends or know someone in each of their classes, except for Megan's 8th grand honors math class. She one of few 7th graders in that class and none are from Frost.  But I am sure she'll make friends with them soon.

I have no doubt that this is going to be a great year for all the kids.  Very busy and challenging, but also very great.
