Happy 13th Birthday Tyler!

Our Tyler turned 13!  Officially a teenager.  We can't believe we have a teenager in the house.  Luckily he doesn't act like a moody teenager (at least not yet).
We were suppose to be driving towards California on his birthday but since they closed Disneyland because of Covid-19, we stayed home.
I took Tyler to Arctic Circle for his birthday lunch and got him a shake.  While Tony and I were at Sam's Club we picked up some yummy cupcakes for Tyler's birthday dessert.  I felt so bad that we didn't have anything for him since he said he wanted stuff from Disneyland for his birthday.  But Aunt Wendy sent him a gift card to Amazon so he went on the website and picked out what he wanted.  We told him he could pick extra stuff that could be from us and when we did make it to Disneyland we would get him something there too.  Luckily Tyler totally understood the situation and was super understanding.  He really is a great kid.
We asked Tyler where he wanted to eat for his birthday dinner and he chose Texas Roadhouse (we have taught him well).  We weren't sure if we should be eating out with the Covid-19 stuff but we figured we would be careful and felt good about it.  Texas Roadhouse had changed many things inside the restaurant to be super careful about germs.  Freshly cleaned menus for each new party.  No peanuts out for people to share and more things like that.  I am glad that we were able to go and enjoy yummy food with Grandma and Grandpa and celebrate our new favorite teenager!

Poor Josh

Josh woke up one morning and everything was fine...until it wasn't.  Right before we were suppose to leave for school Josh started crying that the back of his neck hurt.  I then felt it by pushing on the neck and when I got to a sensitive spot he really cried out in pain.
I told him he can't go to school like that so after I took the girls to school I came back and took Josh to the Urgent Care.
The doctor said he had a strained muscle.  She prescribed a muscle relaxer and Motrin.  I took him home to rest and went to pick up his prescription.
The meds and rest helped him a lot and he was able to go to school the next day.  I was glad it was an easy and quick fix.

Puppy Love

Koda loves Tony so much.  He loves to snuggle his daddy.
The kids love Koda and he loves them too.

Snow Day!!!

All our cute kids playing so nicely in the snow.  That didn't last too long.
Tyler really wanted to make an igloo.  Allie loves to "help".
Josh and Megan helping make an igloo.
Megan loves making snow angles.
Allie loves playing in the snow.
We got a good amount of snow.  It's so pretty.
I was so shocked to see Megan's cheeks after coming in from playing in the snow.  I think the wind really did a number on her face.  A few hours later she got better.

Ear Surgery

I had surgery on my ear on Tuesday morning.  I had a tube in my ear for like 17 years.  It lasted much longer then it should have by like 10-15 years.  But it was doing it's job so we kept it in.  The doctor said my tube was the longest he has had in a patient.
But then it stopped working.  I grew polyps around the tube in my ear so my doctor said it was time to take it out and replace it.
So Tuesday morning, super early, Tony took me to the hospital.  The three younger kids stayed with Margie the night before so she could take them to school for us.  Tyler stayed home because he can get himself up and ready and out to school by himself.
Everything went well with the surgery.  The doctor said that I had skin grow around the back of my tube which caused it to not work.  So he removed the tube and the polyps.
Recovery went well.  I was able to go home pretty quick.  I felt pretty good the first day.  I felt dizzy and nauseous when standing up, but beside that I was pretty good.  The next day I had a lot more pain.  I have been surprised how much blood I have had and still have.  But it should continue to get better each day.  Guess we will see how long this tube lasts.

Tyler's Jr. High Volleyball Games

Tyler tried out for and made the Jr. High volleyball team.  He had only ever played volleyball in gym but liked it enough to try out.
He made the JV team and was super happy about it.
They have played four games out of six. The varsity team plays first and then the JV team plays their game.  Tyler team has won two games, lost one and tied one.
Tyler is learning and makes some good plays.  The JV games are more practice games and just the coaches ref the games, but they do keep score and play hard.
Tyler is fun to watch and it is nice to see him try new sports.

Christmas 2019

We had a great Christmas.  The kids didn't wake up too early, like 6:30 am.  Allie woke up Megan and it was so cute to hear her little voice telling her to wake up because Santa had come.
We all had lots of gifts to open and it was fun watching everyone enjoy their presents.  Megan wanted to open everything she could get her hands on (even Tony and my presents).  It was so fun to see how excited they all got after they opened their presents.
After breakfast and a few hours of hanging out at home we went over to Grandma Margie's house.  We took them some gifts and they had some for us.  They kids loved everything they had for them and we liked ours too.  Luckily they liked what we brought them as well.
After hanging out there for a few hours we left to go to my parents house for Christmas dinner.  We handed out our gifts to my parents and then we opened our stocking from my parents.
We ate a yummy dinner and then hung out there for a couple hours.  The kids had fun but wanted to get back home to play with their toys.  After we got home we let them play for a couple of hours before sending them to bed.  It was a long day but a great day.  We are all very thankful to celebrate our Saviors birth with our family!

Christmas Eve

We always have a great time at the Kresser family party.  The kids spent the night at Grandma's house the night before with Gabe and Brennen.  They got to help her get the house ready for the party.  They always have a great time with cousins and love spending times at Grandma's.
After the extended family left the party we cleaned up and got the rooms put back together.  Then it was open jammie time.  It is fun to see what jammies grandma finds for the kids and to see them all wearing them together.  She is so good to do these fun traditions.
