Swimming at Grandma's!

Since my parents set up their pool over the 4th of July we have been enjoying it all week.
The kids love playing in the water and jumping on the trampoline.  My parents were on a trip so we had the whole house to our selves.  I helped around their house and the kids had fun in the sun.  It was a great trade off. With all the hot weather we have been having, playing in the water was perfect.

Saying Goodbye to Cousins

Nate and Amy's family left for their new house in Texas on Friday.  The night before we hung out with them and the kids.  When it was time to go it was really hard for the kids to say good-bye.  They were silly at first but then the smiles turned to tears, mainly with Megan and Lydia.  They are best cousins and friends.
We have been hanging out with them a lot while they have been in town at Margie's house so we are really going to miss them lots.  They have moved to Ft. Worth, Texas which is very far away.  A good three day drive away.  We will miss them so much and look forward to seeing them hopefully next summer.

Independence Day: Part 2 - Fireworks!!!

We bought some fireworks from a guy at Tony's work so we had some fun fireworks to set off at our house.
We used to do them at my parent but since my siblings all go back to their houses for the evening my parents came and joined us for the fun (they even contributed to the fire works).
We also invited Lloyd, Amy, and the kids over to watch the fireworks.  Nate took Nana to a barber shop concert so he wasn't there.  Margie was out of town with Suzanne's family so that's why she wasn't there either.
We let Tyler set off some parachutes before we did the main show.  He did a good job and and wanted to do more.  We didn't let him do the main stuff, but maybe next year.
Our neighbors even came over when they saw we were doing fireworks.  I picked out the fireworks and Tony set them off, we make a great team.  It was another great 4th of July!

Independence Day: Part 3 - Pop-Its & Parachutes

Independence Day: Part 2 - BBQ & Swimming

After the parade we came back to my parents house for some fun swimming in their pool and a yummy BBQ.  The kids really love the water and played for a long time, before and after lunch.  After lunch and more water fun we got the kids out of the pool and took them home for some rest before fireworks.

Independence Day: Part 1 - Parade

Awe, the Murray parade.  How we love thee!?! It was another great parade this year.  We got there nice and early and we were all ready to watch the fun.
The weather wasn't too hot and felt great on the parade route.  Julie and I were super silly together and had a great time.  Megan was super motivated to get as much candy as she could.  Josh got plenty too, but Allie didn't really seem to care too much.
Tyler, however, sat with the adults and didn't care much for the candy.  He did like getting people to throw things to him so he could catch it.  That was fun to watch. I think that it was a great year for the parade!

State Allstar Tournament

Tyler had his last game of the Allstar season.  It was the State tournament.  He looked so cute out there with his catchers gear during the national anthem.
Tyler played really good even though it was super hot and the sun was right in his face for a long time.
His team lost, which ended their season.  Tyler was so exhausted after it all so I was glad that it was over.  It was a good experience and I am glad he was able to do it.

Bear Lake - Day 3: Relaxing Fun

Tony and Tyler playing some baseball by the lake.
Megan relaxing on the duck.
Megan and Kimball hanging out together watching a tablet.

Bear Lake - Day 3: Come Follow Me

Julie led us all in the Come Follow Me lesson.  She did a great job.
The kids all loved her ideas and did really good following instructions.
A family that studies scriptures together...stays together!

Bear Lake - Day 3: Morning Hike

Part of our fun hiking group.
All the kids in the tree!
Oh the silliness!

The Steenblik's enjoying our Sunday hike.
