Spring Break 2019 - Logan Fun!

We decided we should do something fun and out of the ordinary for Spring Break.  Tony had Monday off so we went up to Logan for the day to meet up with Nate, Amy, and Cora.
Our first stop was Gossner's Dairy.  We picked up some yummy flavored milk for the kids and some yummy spicy cheese for Tony and I.
After that we went to Sam's Club to do some walking around while we waited for Amy to get back from a doctor's appointment (one more month for baby Oliver to come).  Amy met us there and then we headed up to the Pepperage Farm outlet to see what goodies they had.  We lucked out and got a big bag of Milano cookies and some different flavored gold fish.
It was then time to go to the ice cream outlet to see what kind of "seconds" we could buy.  We bought some mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream ice cream sandwiches.  We took the ice cream and put it in Nate and Amy's freezer while we went out to lunch.  After lunch we stopped at a really fun park where the kids ran around and played.  It was nice to relax in the sun while the kids played.
We picked up some dry ice at the store before going back to Nate and Amy's house to get our ice cream.  We packed it up and headed back home.  It was the prefect amount of time to just get away and then be able to get home for the evening.

Happy 7th Birthday to Megan!

This little cutie turned 7 on Tuesday.  It was our last day of Spring Break so we were able to do some fun things. 
After breakfast we all went to the dollar store to pick out some items for Megan's friend party.  Josh and Megan really wanted to use one of their own dollars to buy something.  So they both picked out a dollar and some change from their piggy banks to pick out their own thing at the store.  I told them I would buy them one thing from the store, but they really wanted to do it themselves.  Such big kids.
After the dollar store we took somethings to the DI and then we got the car washed and vacuumed out.  After we went to McDonald's per Megan's request.  We ate lunch and let the kids play.  They all had a good time.  We then went home and let the kids play.  Tyler had a baseball practice that night so we just made some dinner at home and then let the other kids relax. I think it was a good day for Megan.  She is so excited for her friend party on Saturday.

Birthday Dinners!

We get free kids meals on the kids birthday at Texas Roadhouse.  Grandma and Grandpa joined us for the fun evening and we all had a yummy dinner.  Tyler and Josh had adults meals and Megan and Allie had the kids meals.  Tyler was able to eat all his food, I was amazed.  A good time was had by all!

Tyler & Megan's Family Birthday Party

We had another great family birthday party.  The kids loved playing with their cousins and they got spoiled with tons of fun gifts from everyone.  We sure do love our family and love spending time together.

Tyer's 12th Birthday Friend Party

Tyler had a Harry Potter birthday party with his friends from school and baseball.  He had six boys and two girls.  We started off the party by making wands.  The kids got to paint them and hot glue them together.  It was fun to see the different wands and the creativity from the kids.
After wand making the kids wanted to play outside.  There was still some snow in the shadow places so the kids had a snowball fight and loved it.

After they ran around like crazy, wild, loud kids we got them all back into the house to play Harry Potter Bingo.  We had Jelly Belly's for them to use on the boards and the kids loved that.
After a few Bingo's and then a black out we then went into the front room for Tyler to open some presents.  He got lots of good gifts and and was totally spoiled.

Then it was cupcake and ice cream time.  Tyler requested chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting with yellow Harry Potter scars on them.  They turned out pretty good and tasty.  I think the kids all liked them.
The kids all played until their parents came.  We had goodie bags for them to take home with lots of treats in it.  Tyler said it was the best birthday and that he had lots of fun.  That made me very happy and I am so glad that we were able to give him a great party.

Elementary Celebration

The kids all made it to the 20% increase party for the first part of the year.  It happened to be on a  Monday so Tony got to come with Allie and I to the assembly where they were awarded with their certificates.  We were two proud parents!

California 2019 - Driving Home

After four days of Disneyland and a day off we checked out of our hotel and drove down to San Diego.  We drove to Sea World.  We were there right when it opened, but the funny thing is they didn't open up their exhibits or rides for another half an hour to an hour. That was kind of lame but we waited it out and then saw lots of fun animals.
We all really love the animals and the shows.  Their was one ride that everyone (except Allie and I) went on and really liked. The big water ride was closed, so that was sad because that is a really fun ride.
After Sea World we drove to the hotel and checked in.  Then we went to get some dinner.  The first place was too busy for us to wait so we found some where else to eat that was quicker.  Then we went back to the hotel for the night.
The next morning we went to church before checking out of our hotel and driving to Las Vegas.  We went to dinner at Bucca DiBepo and it was so busy.  They told us that it would be a half an hour wait so we drove the strip for a while before coming back.  But then we waited another hour before they sat us.  We were pretty mad about that.  They kept telling us a few more minutes.  Jerks.  The food wasn't even very good, so that was a disappointing situation.
After dinner we went back to the hotel and went to bed.  The next morning we got up, got dressed, ate breakfast and then drove home.  It was a cold wet drive, but we made it home safe from a great vacation.  The kids all did really good on the trip even in the rain at Disneyland.  It was a super fun trip and we all had a great time!

California 2019 - Wet Day Off

We took Wednesday off from the parks to rest and relax.  It was a rainy day so we did a little shopping, ate lunch at Red Robin, and then went to the movies.  We saw the Lego Movie 2.  It was an okay movie.  Allie slept through the whole thing but Josh laughed through the whole thing.  It is fun to go to the movies with Josh because he laughs out loud all the time.  It is super funny.
After the movies we went back to the hotel and had their nighttime reception dinner.  It was pretty good and then we went back to the room for the night.  We were all well rested for our next two days of Disney. 
Thursday and Friday were rainy days.  Thursday it rained hard all morning.  We were able to go and do things we had never done before that were indoors.  We did the drawing with the artist where we drew Pluto, then we met Elsa and Anna, and then did an interactive show with the turtle from Nemo.  It was all super fun and a perfect way to spend a rainy morning.
