Tyler & Megan's Annual Check-ups
Tyler and Megan had their annual check-ups at the doctors office yesterday. I got an early appointment so that Tyler wouldn't miss too much school.
They both got their eyes checked (Megan didn't do too good, I may need to take her in to see an eye doctor - maybe we can wait until August and see Uncle Nate while we are in Bend?).
They also got weighed, measured for height, and got their blood pressure taken. They both did these things very well.
Here are Tyler's stats:
Height: 53 3/4 inches (35%)
Weight: 86 1/2 pounds (83%)
I talked to Dr. Eyre about Tyler coughing more this past year and that he hasn't been able to run for very long before it starts to hurt him. So she ordered us an inhaler to see if he has activity induced asthma. Besides that he is looking good. It was time for him to get a tetanus shot. It had been over five years and she highly recommended it. So poor Tyler started crying and ended up with a shot. He did pretty good taking it and calmed himself down pretty quickly. I felt really bad because I said neither of them would need shots. My bad.
Here are Megan's stats:
Height: 42 3/8 inches (50%)
Weight: 45 pounds (80%)
She is looking really good as well. Dr. Eyre didn't understand her very well when she talked and recommended speech therapy for her. This is the first time anyone has said anything about her speech. I kind of wondered if she needed help last year, but no one ever said anything so I figured it was normal for her age. I guess I was wrong. We will see about getting her help.
We did talk about her warts on her hands and got a prescription for the medicine that Josh took to get rid of his warts. It is a long process, but it worked really good for Josh and he hasn't had any since. Beside those things, Megan is looking great. We are so lucky to have such great kids. We sure love these silly kiddos!

Baseball, Baseball, and more Baseball
Baseball season has officially started and it has been crazy! These boys have 2-3 games a week plus 2-3 practices a week. Baseball is pretty much all we have done this week. I am sure things will not feel so hectic once I get us more organized with dinners and such, but this week so far has felt stressful. But even so it is fun to watch the boys. They both seem a little nervous when they play so I look forward to seeing them play as well as I know they can.

Spring Break Day #9 & 10: St. George & Home
After sleeping all night long, Allie woke up around 6:30. She was one tired girl. We snuggled for a while before she heard grandma and went upstairs to see her. I got up and started getting everything ready for us to go.
Nate came about 7:30 to get Lloyd to take him back to Amy's dad's house to spend the day with them.
After we were all dressed we got some breakfast and then packed up the car. Margie did a good job getting everything to fit so well. Then we started our way to St. George.
We stopped in Victorsville for gas and some movies from Redbox. We had lunch a few hours later at a pretty ghetto Dairy Queen. After eating we got back on the road and made it to St. George about 6:00 pm. We went to Nana's first for a little while before checking into our hotel.
Once we were unpacked we met Margie and Nana at Chic-fil-a. We figured that would be a good place for the kids to play. They really wanted to go swimming but I didn't want to take all four kids swimming by myself.
After dinner we came back to the hotel for baths and bed time. Tyler and Josh fell asleep first and snuggled so sweetly with each other and their stuffed animals. Megan and Allie both fell asleep in the car so they were awake for a long time.
In the morning I got the kids all ready and then we went down to breakfast. It was really busy and the food wasn't all that good, but we survived. We checked out of our room and went back to Nana's house. We got grandma all packed back into the van and then headed on the road towards home.
The drive wasn't bad and we made pretty good time. We were all happy to be home and very happy to be with Tony again. It was a super fun trip and we all had a wonderful time. So glad that we were able to go and spend quality time with Nate, Amy, and the kids and of course Margie and Lloyd. They really are too good to us!

Spring Break Day #8 Continued: Old Town San Diego
After a fun time at Sea World we headed to Old Town San Diego which is only a few miles away from Sea World. We parked in the parking lot of the Mormon Battalion and then walked down the street to a Mexican Restaurant.
Allie fell asleep in the stroller on the way back to the car and stayed a sleep on the car ride over. I moved her to the stroller and she was not happy about that. She cried and cried. She didn't want to sit up or interact so I just let her cry. She calmed down a little bit while we were walking but was still unhappy when we stopped. I sang her the Barney "I love you" song and she was able to go back to sleep.
When our table was ready we just rolled her right into the restaurant and she ended up sleeping the whole time. She was one tired girl. They got us a table in the back patio of the restaurant. It was enclosed and they had heaters so it wasn't cold at all. After a little while it was actually way too hot with the heaters, but it was better then being cold.
We all really enjoyed our food and our experience at La Pinata. Amy's dad and his wife joined us so it was nice to get to know them a little better, from what I could hear. I was sitting in the back corner surrounded by kids and all the other adults were at the other end of the table. After we all ate the men walked back to the cars and drove them down to us so that we didn't have to take the kids out in the cold. It was very nice of them. Lucky for us Allie transported from the stroller to the car seat and stayed asleep. We worried that she would wake up and be awake all night, but once we got back to the hotel I was able to change her and get her back to sleep. She was so tired from our week of fun, I think we all were.
Spring Break #8 - Sea World
After we got up, dressed, and had breakfast we headed to Sea World. It wasn't too far from the hotel so luckily it didn't take us a super long time to get there. We were to met Nate, Amy, the kids and her dad at Sea World. After we all met up and got through the gates we started by seeing the little fish at the beginning of the park. They are fish that eat the dead skin off your fingers...yum.

We went to see the dolphins after the fish. We got to see the trainers work with them and show us how they teach them things. They even let us pet the dolphins when they came by us. We all really like seeing the dolphins. We then went and saw the sea lions. Lloyd got the kids some fish so that they could each take a turn feeding the sea lions. They are always fun to watch and feed. The kids all liked that.

After we saw them up close we went to get seats to the dolphin show. We wanted to go to that first thing before it got too hot. It was a good show and always impressive to see what the animals can do.We also saw the pet show, the sea lion and otter show, and the killer whale demonstration. They were all good and we loved seeing all the tricks they could do.

We also went and saw all the animal exhibits. The kids really liked the penguins, polar bear, sharks, and turtles. We went on a couple rides at the end of the day. I sat out while the others went on the rapids ride and then I got to go on the Atlantis ride. Margie let Tyler and I go on the ride twice while her and Nate met up with Amy and Lloyd to get the kids in the car. Tyler and I got nice and wet but luckily we had on ponchos.Tyler and I met the rest of our group in the car and then we headed to Old Town for some dinner.
