California - Day 7

Today we did Lego Land.  We have never been there before, so we didn't really know what to expect.
We found out that most of the rides and things to do there are geared towards kids about 4-14ish.  Tyler and Josh could go on every ride, Megan could go on most of the rides, and Allie could go on very few rides.
But they did have a little kid area in each of the little lands that they had.  So Allie and Megan were able to play in the little kid area while waiting for the bigger kids on the ride.   Tyler and Josh also liked playing in the play areas.  They all had Lego's out for the kids to play with.  Some were really big, others medium, and even the small normal sizes ones.  Tyler even stayed off a ride to play with some really big Lego's.  He had a wonderful time being creative.  It was fun to watch.
I think the kids favorite ride was were they got to drive little Lego cars.  Tyler and Josh rode in the bigger kids area and Megan drove in the 3-5 area.  It was pretty darn cute seeing them driving little cars around.
Allie did pretty good in the stroller today.  She was generally content with a snack and her drink.  That makes things a lot easier when she isn't fussing to get out of the stroller and walk around.
Lego Land has tons of things made out of Lego's all around the park.  It is pretty cool what they can do with some Lego's.
The park was decorated for Christmas.  They had people singing Christmas songs.  They even had a huge Christmas tree made all out of Lego's.  It was all decorated even.  They sure do think of everything.
It was a pretty chilly day and I left the bag with all the kids jackets at the hotel.  We looked at buying them sweatshirts, but they wanted $35 for one little sweatshirt, so we just gave them our jackets when it got cold.  It gets dark so early now that it got cold pretty fast.  We didn't end up staying until closing because we had pretty much seen and done everything, it was getting pretty cold, and we were pretty tired.
After the park we drove back to hotel.  It was about an hour away from Lego Land.  The kids spent the evening playing the computer and tablet and just relaxing.  Grandma got us all pizza and then we put the kids to bed.  Tony went with his mom and Landon to Downtown Disney to pick up a couple of things and then tomorrow morning we will start back towards home.  It has been such a good time in California and I am so glad that my kids got to come on this fun vacation with their cousins, aunts/uncles, and most importantly grandma and grandpa.

Josh, Tyler, Allie, and Megan sitting on Minnie's couch.
Allie liked playing in Minnie's kitchen.  She was such a big girl.
YEAH, we finally got to see Minnie.  She is giving Megan her autograph.
Megan just loves Minnie, had to give her a hug.  Josh was all ready with his autograph book.  Tyler said he already got her autograph last time we were here, so he didn't get it again.
The Steenblik's with Minnie.  Too cute!
Josh got to get the first autograph and picture with Mickey.  He was pretty excited.
Megan was next with her autograph.  Tyler once again "already had it" so he didn't bother.
The Steenblik's with Mickey.  Too fun!
Another family picture!
Allie and Tony saying good-bye to Mickey.  I think she likes him.
We're waiting for the Christmas parade to start.  Mom loves her a good parade.
Josh and Grandpa on the Rockets ride.  Grandpa was so nice to take Josh and Tyler on the ride.  They loved it!
Tyler on the Rockets ride.  Once again riding by himself.  He sure loves that he can do that.
The Steenblik's by the castle.  What a great time at Disneyland.
Our little family with Grandma and Grandpa by the castle.  Without them none of this would have been possible.  Another great trip to Disneyland in the books.

Now all of us with Pluto.  Well, no Tony.  He was on a Soarin' Over California when we saw Pluto.
We finished the night in Radiator Springs.  While the bigger kids and adults were riding the Cars ride Lydia and Megan were helping Mader clean his headlights.  They are so cute!

California - Day 4

Tyler at the Manta Ray pool.  He really liked petting them and did a good job.
Josh at the Manta Ray pool.  We even came back later this day and Josh played in the pool for like a half an hour and got his jacket all wet.  It smelt like fish.  Good thing I plan to do laundry.
Daddy and Allie at the Manta Ray pool.  She liked petting them too.
Tony showing the kids how to touch and feed the manta ray correctly.  Tyler was the only one who wanted to try and feed them and he did a good job.  Lots came over to eat his food.
Tyler's doing it!
Josh is doing it too!
Megan is almost as big as an adult female manta ray.

Megan and Josh watching the dolphins swim around.
Tyler, Allie, and Tony watching the dolphins swim and play with a ball.
Megan and I like to watch the Dolphin too.
Allie really liked watching the dolphin play with his ball.  He kept hitting it out to people.  It was really fun to watch.
Allie liked all the fishes and watching them swim around.
