Allie 9 Months

Our baby girl is 9 months old.  WHAT?  Boy the time goes by quickly.  She started officially crawling just days ago.  She has been army crawling for a while, but now she is on all fours and getting around the house like a champ.
The down side of her now crawling is that she doesn't want to sleep because she wants to be exploring.  Her sleep schedule has been all messed up.  I am hoping that she will go back to her predicable schedule soon.
She had her appointment with Dr Eyre today.  She says that she looks great.  Here ears were pretty red so she is treating her for a double ear infection.  I guess that could be contributing to her change in schedule as well.  Here are Allie's stats:
Weight: 19 lbs 9 oz (73%)
Height: 28 inches (66%)
Head: 45.3 cm (85%)

BMI: 72%
I tried to take some pictures of her and she sat there so nicely for me and smiled so sweetly and then she had enough and crawled away.  It really is so cute to see her crawling around the house.
Allie likes to say "da da" the most.  She likes mostly all the food we give her.  She still is a good little eater.  We are going to try to switch her to regular formula instead of the gentle stuff.  Hopefully that will help the transition to whole milk.  Allie still loves her siblings and they love her too.  They love to play with her and make her laugh.  Josh can get her laughing the hardest. She is generally happy and loves to be outside.  If she is getting fussy and we go outside she instantly is happier.  We love our baby girl!

Josh's Last Day of Preschool

Josh (and Megan) with some of his preschool friends.  They had a fun party for the last day of school.  They had treats, popcorn, a movie, pizza, cake, and goodies that they took home.  It was so much fun.
Josh (and Megan) sitting on the carpet waiting for the certificates to be passed out.
Allie liked the yummy cake that they had.  She patiently watched the party from her stroller.  The kid literally could not keep their hands off of her.  Luckily they mostly liked to pet her head.  I was trying to get them away from her as nicely as I could, that was hard.
Josh and his whole class (plus some extra siblings like Megan).
Ms Michelle, Joshua, and Ms Amy.  Josh is now all done with preschool and is kindergarten bound.  I can't believe it!

New Carpet

We decided to do something crazy and have the whole house carpeted.  We knew that we would get a better deal if we did the whole house at once and we wanted all the carpet to match.
To keep cost low we tore out all the old carpet on our own and moved all our own furniture.  Before the carpet guys got to our house we were able to take out all the carpet on the floors but not the stuff on the stairs.  Tony didn't anticipate how hard it would be to remove this carpet and it took him and Nate a long time to remove all the carpet and most of the staples that were on the stairs.  They were very happy when all the stairs were done.
We are loving our new carpet and think that they did a good job.  It feels so soft on our feet and it really hides things well.  I feel much better having Allie crawling around on the floor with this carpet verses the old floor.  I just hope we can keep it nice for when it's time to sale our house.

Gardening With Max

Max waited to put in his garden so that our kids could help.  They were all really excited at first and were all really good helpers before they got tired and decided they were done.  Funny how kids are always done before the work is done.
Max was very patient with the kids and taught them well how to plant the different types of plants.  We will go back and see how everything has grown in a week or so and see what the kids think.
Max and Dona are always so nice to share their yummy veggies with us each summer.  This year they might just taste a little sweeter!  After all their hard work the kids were rewarded with pop cycles.  Those Kunzler's sure are awesome neighbors and friends.

Fun Saturday With The Family

Derek and Don came to town for Mother's Day so we have been hanging out with the family this weekend.
We all got together and went to Costco, Margie needed some things.  At Costco they had employees dressed up as super hero's.  So we got a picture with Tyler and Josh's favorite super hero's.  After that we went to a big sporting goods store where they have rides and other fun things.  After he store we took all the kids, minus the babies, back to grandma's where Landon and Cortnie babysat so that we adults could all go out to dinner together.  We went to our favorite Mexican restaurant and had so much fun hanging out as siblings and friends.

Allie's Going For a Ride

Tyler got out the sled from the garage after we got home from Tony's parents for dinner.  He thought he'd bring it inside and take Allie on a little ride.  She really seemed to like him walking her around the house.  She lasted a couple times around the house before being done.  Tyler did a good job of being super careful and slow while pulling her.  Too much fun.

Silly Girls

Last week Megan wanted to hold Allie.  She has been asking to hold her a lot more lately.  It is pretty sweet.  Allie will usually sit with Megan for a minute or two before she gets antsy and wiggles away from her.  Megan really loves her baby sister and even though I think that she gets a little jealous of the attention I give Allie she never is mean to Allie.  They are such cute sisters!
Allie is getting closer to crawling.  She started getting up on her knees this past week.  She can move herself in circles and has started to army crawl slowly forward and sometimes backwards.  I think that she is still a couple weeks away from actually crawling, but it is fun to watch her learn how to make herself move and get the things that she wants.   My baby is getting way too big.

Spring Soccer Has Begun

Tyler and Josh had their first soccer game today.  Josh didn't do too hot.  He got out and played just fine at first but then when the other team played better then him he just wanted to give up.  I was not happy with him at all.  He wined about being hungry and tired and about how the other kid was too fast for him...I was so mad.  So the little bum pretty much sat out for most the game.  But after loosing certain privileges today because of how he acted I am hopeful that he will play much better next week,
Tyler played very well.  He score the first goal and played strong and hard the rest of his game.  He was having fun and going after the ball.  It was so much fun to watch.  Tyler team beat the team they were playing by like 6-1.  The kids are always so happy when they win.  I am excited to see how the kids will improve this season and what kind of team we'll end up with at the end of the season.
Megan and Allie did a really good job being good while their brothers played soccer.  I thought maybe Allie would want to take a nap, but after a bottle she was super happy to just hangout in the stroller.  Megan spend most of her time playing with Lydia or eating snacks.  She stayed close and listened pretty well.   It was nice having Tony's parents there to help and support.  This time we even had Nate and Amy there since Matt is playing on Josh's team.  It's always more fun with family.

Spring Snow Fun

Yesterday it snowed like 9 inches at our house.  But as Spring snow storms normally go, the snow was melting fast today.  So after school we all went outside to play in the snow.  Tyler and Josh got started by rolling out their part of the snowman they tried to build.  After many tries they never did get the three layers of the snowman to stay on top of each other.  It was kind of sad, but I couldn't help them because I was holding Allie.
Me and Allie watching the kids playing in the snow.  It wasn't too cold out, which was nice.
Tyler decided to make a seat with the bottom layer of the snowman.  Megan and Tyler both had very wet bums after sitting on his seat.
Josh likes to eat the snow.  I told him not to eat the old snow, but he didn't listen.  Silly kid.

Tyler's Baptism

Well, it happened.  Tyler got baptized today.  It was a beautiful day.
I remember when Tyler was little and we would talk about different milestones and thinking that his baptism was so far away.  Now here it has come and gone...what a great day.
Tyler has been so excited for a long time.  Yesterday he kept telling everyone he was so excited for his baptism.
He was quite emotional throughout the whole program.  It started when he changed into his white clothes.  He would get all teared up when people would talk to him about how proud they were of him and how much they loved him.  He just gets so many emotions coming at him that he doesn't know what to do with them besides cry, it's tender.
Teagan and Suzanne both did a great job on their talks.  All the families came and were very supportive.  We had friends from the ward and neighborhood come too.  It was nice of everyone to take time out to support Tyler.
Tony's parents had all of their grandchildren at the baptism and got a good picture outside the church to document the day.  I love family so much and was truly so thankful that so many of them could come and support Tyler.
I asked him how he felt after he was baptized and he said "good."  I reminded him that was the Holy Ghost telling him that what he did was true and right (he started crying again).  He knows that this was the correct choice to make.  He feels the spirit so strongly and knows it's right.  He is such a good example to his siblings and others.  He's an amazing kid and (as my mother says) Tyler will do great things someday.  I love him so much and couldn't be more proud of him then I am right now!
