Bear Lake - Playing In The Lake

Megan looked so cute in her little swim suit with the ruffles on the bum.  The lodge was right on the water, but the beach area was like six houses down the beach from us.  So we would just walk down to the open area either by the water and the rocks or up and around on the road.  Either way wasn't too bad and it was super nice being right on the water.
Megan LOVED the water.  We only took her to the water on Saturday morning because she was napping when they went the first time on Friday and then it was very hot when they went later that afternoon.   She loved stomping the water.
Tyler and Hayden had so much fun in the water.  The water was really shallow and the boys could go out really far before it got deep.
Megan did so good playing in the water.  It was really shallow so she had a lot of room to play without us having to worry.
Megan is just so adorable.  I couldn't help but take lots of pictures of this cutie.  I wish that Josh would have come with us.  He went on Friday morning with Tony but then Tony had to bring him back because he was whining about everything.  Josh didn't like the seaweed and didn't want to step on it.  So Tony told him to wear his Crocks but he didn't want to do that because the sand got into his shoes.  So he just brought him back to the lodge.  On Saturday we asked Julie to pick up Josh some water shoes and after she got back from the store he did go with her to the lake, but by the time he got to the lake I had already gone back to the lodge to put Megan down for her nap, so I have no pictures of Josh at the Lake.
Tony walking Megan out in the water with Tyler and Hayden in the back ground.  So pretty there.
Tony and Tyler helping Megan go deeper into the water.  Hayden is watching the fun.  Megan liked the more shallow water because it was a lot warmer.  The further out you go, the colder the water gets.
Tony had a lot of fun splashing in the water with Megan.
Tyler enjoying the warm shallow water...silly guy.
Tony and Megan splashing in the water.  The water felt great on a hot day.  I took Megan back around 11:00 for her nap.  She was so tired I though that she was going to fall asleep in the stroller but she didn't.

Bear Lake - Smores

We did smores on Friday night.  The others did it on Saturday too, but we chose to stay in and have a little family time.  It was nice to just hang out in our quiet room while the kids played games and Megan slept.
Megan liked hanging out by the fire.  They had a really nice fire pit area with lots of seating.
Josh, Averee (and Logan) waiting for the fire to be ready to make smores.
Tony toasting our marshmallows for our yummy smores.  We bought smore specific marshmallows and they were huge.  Don't think that we'll buy those again.  It made for a lot of mallow.  We were the first to start roasting so the other kids were jealous.  With Gabe, Averee, Conner, Hayden, Tony, Josh, and Tyler
Tyler enjoying his delicious smore.  Isn't that back ground view amazing?  It was beautiful!
Megan didn't like the marshmallow, so she just ate the graham cracker and chocolate.
This is the best picture I could get of Josh with his smore.  He doesn't just look at the camera and smile.  He just says "cheese" and looks wherever...it's awesome...ly hard to get a good pictures.  Josh didn't like the smore and just wanted to eat the chocolate.  I think Teagan ate it for him.
Most of our group around the fire.  Tyler was riding his bike up and down the hill around the volleyball court.  The kids all loved playing in that sand.  We bought sand toys and they were a big hit.  The kids would put water in the sand and make fun things out of the mud.  They got so dirty but had such a good time.  There were multiple times during our trip that I would look for Josh and find him playing in the sand.  Too much fun.
Tyler would ride past us with a big proud grin because we was riding his bike so fast down the hill and everyone was so impressed with his skills.  We also brought their scooters and Josh had tons of fun riding on the back deck.  It would be so loud when he would go up and down the deck, but he had a good time doing it.
Wendy had some glow sticks for the kids.  Josh like pretending like is was a sword.  He had fun with it until he dropped it in a hole that went under the deck, then he was sad.  It was really hot, my boys went without shirts for most of the trip.  I figured less clothes for them to get dirty.

Bear Lake - Slip n' Slid

We left for Beak Lake on Thursday.  We left mid morning to go up to Logan to drop off Koda before we headed up to Beak Lake.  We hung out at Yvette's for a little while and then went to get some lunch.  We ended up at Chili's and enjoyed a nice lunch before going to Sam's Club for some last minute groceries.  After we met at my brother, Kevin's house and headed up the canyon from there.
We stayed at the USU Training Lodge and it was really nice.  It had plenty of beds for everyone and a nice big back yard for playing.  The first game to be played was baseball...then they got out the Slip n' Slid on Friday and Saturday.  In between all the games and water fun we went into the little town and got some shakes.  They were yummy and it was a nice little break.
Most of my family was able to come, but we missed those who couldn't make it.  The kids all played really well together and we all had a good time.  We would really like to do it again and hope that Betsy will be able to make it happen again.  She reserved the place for us and my parents paid for us to go.  Then each of us kids took a turn making a meal.  It worked out pretty good.
Sunday we all packed up, cleaned the lodge, and then headed home.  We stopped back in Logan to get Koda.  He really missed us, as usual.  Then we drove home.  It was so hot back here in Salt Lake.  Our house was like 90 degrees, so we quickly turned the swamp cooler on high.  It was like 104 degrees outside we were able to get the house down to 75 degrees inside.  So glad to have a good swamp cooler.
Tony played with the kids and they had a great time.
They got out the Slip n' Slide Friday and Saturday.  Josh had the most fun ever.
Josh did so good going down on his tummy.
Megan enjoyed watching the action and patiently waited for the big kids to be done before she got her turn to play.
Tony went down once with his clothes on, but wouldn't go again.  Silly guy.
Tyler chose to watch the sliding action on the second day with his big stick.  He was a good cheer leader.
Megan got on her swim suit the second day and enjoyed more water fun.
I decided to have a go at it the first day just with my clothes.  I totally biffed it and fell on my face due to the lack of water on the slide.  The second day I got on my suit and had much more fun going down.  No pictures needed of me in my suit...just know a good time was had, even though it totally made me sore today.
Tony went to the bottom of the slide and got some really cool action shots of Josh coming down the slide.
Josh got some good air off the water filled bump.
Josh is awesome!
Megan's turn.
We weren't sure if she wanted to play in the cold water so we just left her in her clothes.
No question about it, she LOVED the water.
Megan, Tony, and Josh playing at the bottom of the slide.  I am pretty sure Tyler was playing Bay Blades with his cousins during all this water fun...both days.

Well...It's All Done

I am glad to say that it's all done and I am home.  I had the surgery yesterday.  We had to be at the hospital at 12:45 pm.  I spent the morning doing house work, packing for Bear Lake this weekend, and taking a nice long bath.  Tony mowed the lawn and did some other yard work.  After we both got ready we went to IKEA to pick up a shelving unit for the boys room down stairs.
We didn't stay at IKEA very long so we had extra time before I had to check in.  So we walking around a WalMart that was close and then we stopped and got Tony some lunch.  I really didn't mind him eating in front of me even though I couldn't eat.  I was just glad that he was getting some food before we went.  I knew he would have to wait around the hospital for many hours, so no need for him to be hungry.
We checked in and ended up waiting over an hour in the waiting room before they even called me back.  They were running about an hour and a half behind.  But then they finally called me back and I got on my awesome gown and then waited for the poking of the needles.
My doctor actually came in before the nurse and he talked to me about the procedure and answered all the questions that I had.  After talking for a while I told him that when I got my cyst removed it was really cool, with hair and lots of teeth, so maybe he would remove something cool too.   He said he didn't think he would find anything exciting today, but said that he thought he heard of my cyst and even had pictures of it (if I was the person he was thinking of).  We told him when we had the cyst removed and he even showed us the pictures of the cyst (that my doctor told me he would send me but never did).  So he e-mailed us the pictures and the e-mail showed the date it was done and sure enough that is when I had my cyst removed.  So we all had a pretty funny chat about that coincidence.  My doctor said that he is a guest speaker for high school's honors Health class and he shows them those pictures...he said I gross out high school students four times a year...lucky me.
So when it was time for the IV my doctor left and the nurse got to the poking.  This nurse was a digger.  The IV hurt so bad.  She dug at my hand for a while, but didn't get it so she moved to my wrist and dug some more.  She at least got it this time and it ended up hurting me the whole time it was in.  Having deep, hard veins is never any fun.
After about another half an hour of waiting, the OR nurse came and talked to me and then the anesthesiologist came in for his spill.  Then it was actually the anesthesiologist that wheeled me down to the OR.  Then they moved me to the operating table and gave me the mask of oxygen and I went to sleepy land.
I woke up and felt the cramping right away.  I didn't feel too sick, which was a huge difference from what I normally feel after an operation.  I had to wait in the recovery room for a while since they gave me some pain meds in my IV, but then they moved me to my room.  There I had to wait another hour before I was able to go home.  There I was given some water, soda, and crackers.  I was glad to get them and glad that they went down without any problems.  Then they said I could go home, it was like 6:30 pm.
Tony picked us up some dinner and then took me home to rest and eat while he went to pick up the kids.  The car ride home is always the worst.  I felt so sick and worried I would throw up, but luckily I didn't.  It took me about an hour to feel better once I got home and just sat in my chair.  It was nice to see the kids again.  Tyler gave me a big huge and started crying a little bit telling me how much he missed me.  He is such a sweetheart.  Megan and Josh feel asleep on the way home.
I slept pretty good last night.  Had to take some pain meds at around two in the morning and had to pee a lot (I think from the fluids they gave me yesterday).
Luckily Tony was able to go into work later then normal.  I had a hard time from about 4:30 am on, so it was good that Tony was here to help with Megan because both of us were having a hard time.  Now Tony's at work and I am here alone with the kids.  Megan is fussy and is refusing to go to sleep and I am in some major pain.  I am trying to be patient, but the kids are making it hard.  The boys aren't listening and Megan just wants to climb all over me and fuss.  I'll try now to get her to sleep again...better work this time!

D&C It Is

Tomorrow I go in for surgery to get a D&C at the Riverton Hospital.  I have to be there at 12:45 pm and my surgery is scheduled for around 2:15 pm.  I don't think that the actual surgery will take very long, so that's good.  I tend to take a long time to come out of the anesthetic and always feel very sick when I do, so I hope that the doctors are not behind in their schedule.  I was hoping for the surgery to be early in the morning so that I had all day and night to recover before Tony has to go to work on Wednesday morning.
I had an ultrasound this afternoon so that the doctors know what to expect before my surgery tomorrow.  The tech said that their is still "something" there, so I guess it's good that they are planning on taking "it" out tomorrow.
The kids are at Margie's now.  They are spending the night with their cousins and have been playing the day away.  It has been nice having Margie take the kids so I could get some house work done, do some shopping, and go to my appointment without the kids.  It is also nice knowing that they are well taken care of and having so much fun while at Grandma's.  They are so lucky to have such a fun grandma.

It Didn't Work

So I took the pills and they didn't work.  I had a lot of stomach cramping, but not the cramping that I was expecting.  So now I will probably go into the doctor tomorrow for an ultrasound and then they will tell me if I need to go in for a D&C and when.  Should be fun.

Just When You Think It's Over

I thought I was over this whole miscarriage thing, but I was wrong.  I had an appointment with my midwife yesterday and she told me that I should not still be bleeding.  They took my blood to check my hormone levels to see if they were still high.  I found out today that they were still high.  If you are not pregnant then your hormone level should be like two and I was 217.  So not what we wanted to hear.
Because my numbers were high I had to start taking a medicine that is suppose to cause me to bleed even more and start cramping and contracting again to try and rid my body of whatever is still in it.  I took my firsts dose at 2:30 pm today and I have to take more every eight hours.  I think that I have two more doses to take.
If I contract and bleed then I will need to go get my blood taken on Monday morning to check my levels again.  If they are way down then I am probably good.  If they are still high then I need to schedule a D&C for the next day.  If I don't contract and bleed with the medicine, then I will need to go in for a D&C on Monday.  My midwife is concerned about me getting an infection, so she doesn't want me to wait too long.
So I have been having some cramps since taking the medicine.  I am pretty much just waiting to have a miscarriage again...it sucks.  I thought this was almost behind me...I guess I have not learned what I am meant to learn yet.

Tyler's Last Soccer Game and a Party

Tyler had his last soccer game of the Spring season this morning.   We lucked out and it was the only game we had at ten this season.  We like the earlier game time because it's cooler and it's much easier to get a parking spot when you come before nine.
Tyler played all right today.  Him and his team played much better last week.  They all had a fun time and that really is the most important part of sports this young.
We had a special treat at Tyler's game today because Nana and Papa were able to come and see him play.  Margie drove them up from St. George yesterday and so they came with her and Lloyd to see us and watch Tyler play.  It was fun having them at the game and spending time with them.
After the game Tony passed out the medals to all the kids and then we took pictures of the team.  It was pretty funny that Josh and Megan are in the picture too.  Each team Tony coaches for gets two honorary members.

Then after the game we came home and got ready to go to a birthday party of a little girl who lives in our ward.  She had a mini horse come and the theme was cowboys.  Josh liked petting the horse until I got out my camera and then decided he didn't like the horse.  Tyler liked it, but only wanted to pet it the one time and then was done.
They had a fun cowboy boot pinata and the boys loved that.  It got hit and opened before Tyler got a turn, but they all had fun getting the toys and candy.  All the kids got cowboy hats and colored bandana's.  The boys had a good time and I enjoyed chatting with the other ladies from my ward.

My Hawaiian Kids

Tony's parents and brother went to Hawaii a while ago and brought back the kids some super fun outfits.  They haven't really showed much interest in them until just the other day when Tyler saw his shirt and wanted to wear it.  Now it's Tyler's favorite outfit to wear and asks for it often.  Today Josh joined the fun and wore his outfit too.  I was glad that they still fit the kids.
The picture of Megan in her dress from Hawaii is from last year, it is way too small for her now.  It would look more like a shirt.  It's pretty fun to see the boys playing around in their cute outfits.  Cheap entertainment at the Steenblik house.

Sprinkler Fun

Megan sitting on the front steps enjoying the sprinkles from the sprinklers.
A back shot of Megan showing off the cute ruffles on her swim bottoms.
Josh and Tyler running through the sprinklers in the front yard.
Tyler running in slow motion through the sprinklers.
Tony taking Megan through the sprinklers.
Megan walking through the edges of the sprinklers, she liked getting a little wet.
Tony put Megan down in the middle of the sprinklers and she did not like that at all.
