Spring Break 2026 - Day 4: Happy Easter

Happy Easter.  We watched General Conference in the morning.  Before that I made a breakfast casserole.  It was decent, but not my best one.

We had a yummy Easter dinner with my parents, Wendy, Ryan, Alex and his girlfriend, Jacob, and then Sherri and Graham came after we were done eating.

It was an amazing sunset this night that we could not resist enjoying and taking lots of pictures.  We talked a lot about flowers and gardening and then we watched a movie before going to bed.  A great day celebrating the resurrection and enjoying family.

Spring Break 2026 - Day 3: Gardening, Canal Hike, & Wiffle Ball

This morning started off nice and slow.  I helped Julie do some gardening and then we had some breakfast.
We then all went on a hike by the canal, and it was lots of fun.  Lot of good shade and adventure.
After we had some lunch and then played lots of wiffle ball at Julie's house.
I made some lasagnas for dinner for this night.  Wendy came over with Ryan and my parents came too.  I think it turned out yummy and we all had a good time hanging out with each other.

Spring Break 2026 - Day 1 & 2: Travel & Hidden Falls Hike

We started off our Spring Break kind of late in the day on Thursday.  The girls had rehearsal for the school play after school, so we had to wait for them to get done before we could go.

Once they were done, we pilled in the van and picked up some dinner that we ate in the car.  We then made our way to Wells where we were staying that night.

The next morning, we ate hotel breakfast and then drove to Auburn.  We met Julie and Kimball and my parents at a restaurant by their house for lunch.
After lunch we went to my parents' house and then to Julies.  We unpacked and then decided to go on a full hike to Hidden Falls.  It was such a fun hike, but it was a little hot.
After our hike we went back to Julie's house to house and ate dinner.  We enjoyed the evening relaxing, chatting, and watching the kids play.  Family time really is the best time.

Palm Sunday

Happy Palm Sunday.  Since next Sunday is General Conference, I wanted to take pictures of us on Palm Sunday.  Happy Spring and yay for Easter and the resurrection of our Lord and Savior!

Megan Turned 14!

Megan is officially 14 years old.   She chose to go to Red Robin for her birthday dinner.  She likes to go there so that she can have unlimited root beer floats.  She was nice and shared with Josh and Allie.  We went to dinner the day before her birthday and then on her birthday she had mutual.
Then the next day, on Friday, she had a little friend party.  Four nice young ladies came over, and we had pizza and then they had a fire and made S'mores while playing Murder in the Dark/Mafia game that Josh narrated for them.
They then came inside to open presents and have ice cream.  They then played some video games before the parents came over to pick them up.  I think that they all had a great time, and I know Megan had a great time.  She was nice to let Allie be included in the whole party and Josh was nice to narrate the game for them.  It was nice to see all three of them involved in the party and having fun together.

Megan is Student of the Month

Megan received one of the Student of the Month awards for CTE.  It was nice that she got it so close to her birthday.  Both Tony and I were able to make it to her awards ceremony and have a light lunch with her.
Megan is a super smart girl.  She gets great grades and her teachers all love her.  She is a good friend and spends the most time with her friend Hadley.  They loved to get together and bake cookies and treats.  She is playing softball again this year and is excited for the games to start.  She has a strong testimony in the gospel and has a love for her Savior.  All though she can give an attitude at times, and I embarrass her often by just being me, I know she loves us all.  We are lucky to have her in our family, and she is going to do great things.

Josh's Concert Choir and Madrigals Tryouts

Josh had his Spring Concert.  He did a good job with the Concert Choir.  Margie and Lloyd were able to make it to support with the rest of us.

He had tryouts for Madrigals for next year a couple weeks ago and he made it.  We are so excited for him to have that experience, and he was so happy that he made it.

Josh is a Granger High Tennis Player

Josh has decided to join the Granger High Tennis team this year.  The boys team is small, but they have a good time.
Josh is really enjoying tennis and his coach said that he is the most improved on the team.
Tony has taken him to the courts a couple times to work on his basic skills and that has been fun.  I think that this is reminding Tony how much he likes playing Tennis.
We are excited to continue to watch Josh this season and see how much he continues to improve.  I think this might spark something in all of us to go out together and play more tennis as a family.

Random Happenings

The girl's sweet youth Young Women's president made hearts for all the young women in our ward that uses their name spelled out with nice things about them.

A beautiful Sunrise on my walk.

Koda sitting on Allie's feet.  This made her very happy and she wanted a picture.

I am lucky to see many beautiful sunrises on my walk after I drop off the girls at school.

Josh's First Date - Sweathearts Dance

Josh got asked to go to the Sweethearts Dance with a girl name Katie.  He has known her since last year and was pretty excited to get asked.  I thought that the Sweethearts Dance would have been before Valentine's Day, but I was wrong.  She asked him the night we got home from our trip and then we made sure he answered her the next day since the dance was supposed to be that weekend.
The dance ended up getting cancelled, stating low ticket sales so the girls decided to still get together and do a group date.  They went ice skating, did a murder mystery dinner at the Allison's and then finished the night watching a movie.  Josh said that he had a good time but was not interested in going out with her again.  I think it was a good first date for him and we will see if he shows any interest in going out again anytime soon.  He doesn't seem to care about dating yet, and that is okay.
