Tyler Received His Endowment

What a great day!  I have been thinking about this day since Tyler was born.  When thinking about how many kids we should have, I tried to picture how many kids we had in the temple with us.  I don't know if that helped, but we do have four kids.  Tyler wasn't nervous and was excited to receive his endowments.   Tony, Tyler, and I went early, and they got to go do the first timer things while I waited in the waiting area.  I then got changed and waited for family in the chapel.  Many came and supported, and it was a great session.  We are so proud of Tyler and the life decisions he is making.  God is good!

Tyler's Senior Trip: Day 3 - San Diego Temple, Costco, & Flying Home

This Sunday morning we didn't have enough time to go to church before we had to be back up to  the LA area, so we stopped at the San Diego temple on our drive up north.  It is currently being renovated, so it was closed to walk the grounds.  We drove to a neighboring business and parked in their parking lot to get a good look.  It is such a pretty temple.  It was very sunny when we were taking our selfies.

We then drove up to the Burbank airport after having some lunch on the way.  It was nice for Tyler to see a smaller airport and see the differences.  The flight was good and we got home without any problems.  It was a very quick trip, but we all had a great time celebrating Tyler and enjoying our quality time together.  Soon enough we'll be back to the SLC airport sending him off on his mission.

Tyler's Senior Trip: Day 2 - San Diego, Sea World, and Pirates Baseball Game

Saturday morning we woke up and ate breakfast at the hotel before checking out and driving to San Diego.
The drive was smooth and we were able to drive right to Sea World where we were going to spend the day before going to the MLB game at the Pirates Stadium.
We have always enjoyed Sea World and this day was no different.  We went to all the shows and saw all the animals.  The boys went on a couple rides, but a few were down and others were crazy scary.
Tyler got to see lots of sea turtles and that was fun to watch him see his favorite animal.
We got food and treats and just enjoyed the animals and each other.
After we were finished at the park, we drove to our hotel which was only a couple miles from Sea World.
We got all checked in and then drove to a parking lot that Tony had prepaid for us to park.  It was about a 15-20 minute walk to the stadium, so not too bad.  We tried to get in with my small bag but the first guy told me it was too big so I would have to take it back to the car.  So we walked around to a different gate and I tucked the top half on my bag into the bottom half, so it seemed smaller.  That guy let me in, we got lucky.
We looked around the Pirates store before we found our seats.  I think we got Tyler a baseball or something, but none of us got anything else.  We then found our seats, which were really good.  We were pretty close to the field so we could see the action much better this night.  It was a fun game and we had a good time watching out first Major League Baseball game. After the game we drove back to the hotel for a good nights sleep.

Tyler's Senior Trip: Day 1 - Fly to LA, Downtown Disney, and Banana Ball Game

Tyler wasn't sure where he wanted to go for his Senior Trip.  I really wanted to fly somewhere so that we could show Tyler how airports and planes work before he leaves on his mission.  Because of this we flew into LAX and were flying back from a different airport.

We dropped the other kids off the night before we left at Margie's house.  We then got up and drove to the airport Friday morning.  We parked in the parking lot and got on the shuttle to the airport. We got through security and found our gate without any problems.  It was a good flight.  We had good seats at the exit row with extra leg room.  I was very happy that we were able to sit by each other.

After we landed in LA, we found the car rental place and picked up our car.  We then drove to downtown Disney.  We first ate lunch at Earl of Sandwich before walking around and doing a little shopping.  After we saw all we wanted to see we left and drove to our hotel.

The hotel was really close to the Angles Stadium which is also pretty close to Disneyland.  We got all checked in and decided to go out to dinner before going to the Savanah Banana baseball game at Angle Stadium.

After dinner we went back to our room and got ready to go to the game.  We were able to walk over to the stadium and avoid the crazy parking lot traffic.  Before we got our seats, we found a place selling shirts, hats, and other fun team gear.  We all got a t-shirts and Tyler also got a hat to match.  We were looking good.

We then got our seats and watched the game.  We were in the sun for the first part, but after the sun went down it was perfect.  It was a fun game to watch, but I wished that we were closer so we could see things better.  We all had fun and we were glad that we were able to experience going to this type of game.  After the game, we walked back to the hotel and went to bed.

Last Day of School 2024-2025

My kiddos are all moving on up to the next grade.  I took Allie to school and watched her doing the announcements for the last night with her fellow Care Team members.  The kids all love school, but I think they are excited to have a break and do fun summer things.

After Graduation and Senior Grad Night 2025

It took us forever to get out of the parking lot.  It was very frustrating, but we finally got out and met up with Lloyd and Margie at Los Garcia.  We then enjoyed a very yummy lunch before going back home.  It was a great day celebrating Tyler.

Later that night Tony and I helped with the Senior Grad Night at Granger High.  We mainly walked around and helped where needed.  The night went by way quicker than I thought it would.
We had more kids than they have in many years.  They all seemed to have a really good time, and it was fun to see the kids having good clean fun.
We stayed until it ended at 1:00 am and then helped clean up before we left.  Our first Grad Night, man we are old.

Tyler's 2025 High School Graduation

Tyler is officially a high school graduate.  He got to sing with the Madrigals, and he did a great job.  The Madrigals all got to sit by each other in the front row.  The graduates then went up from the back to the front, so Tyler was one of the last ones to graduate.  We are so proud of him and all his hard work.

I let Allie choose if she wanted to go to the graduation and she choose to go to school because they were having the faculty kick ball game against the 6th and 5th graders.  Josh and Megan didn't really have school, so they had to come.
