Spring Baseball has Begun

Tyler had his first baseball game on Monday at Provo High.  We thought it was going to rain, but we got lucky, and the sun was out, and we didn't completely freeze.

We were a little disappointed that Tyler didn't start at catcher, but he did play second and first base and played well.  He struggled with his hitting and stuck out each time he got up, but we know he will do better. 

Steenblik's Speak in Sacrament

We were all asked to speak in sacrament a couple Sundays ago.  We also suggested that Tyler and Allie do a musical number. 

They asked us to talk about our relationship with Christ.  Allie started out by sharing her feelings about Christ and then sharing her testimony.  

Megan was next.  She shared a story from the youth magazine and then bore her testimony.  Josh then spoke about how his relationship with Christ helps him with his relationship with others.

Allie and Tyler then did a musical number.  Tyler accompanied Allie while she sang "I Feel my Saviors Love".  They both sounded really good and did a great job.  She got many compliments about her singing that day.

Tyler then gave his talk.  He was able to share with the ward that he got his mission call and his thoughts on his relationship with Christ.  He did a great job, and we were very proud of him and how far he has come with his public speaking.  My extended family chimed in the watch us, and they took screen shots of us but somehow missed one of Tyler.  Luckily you can see him playing the piano behind Allie.

I then spoke and shared a couple stories.  Tony was the last speaker and did a great job.  It was a good experience, and we are hopeful that this means that we won't have to speak again for a nice long time.  We were also thankful that Margie and Lloyd were able to come and support our family.

Megan Student of the Month

Megan received an award for being Student of the Month from her English teacher.  They invited the students and two quests to come and see them get their award and have a light lunch.  It was nice to see her get recognized for how hard she works.  We sure love our Megan.
