Spring Softball Has Begun
Baby Animal Days
We went up to Wellsville to go to Baby Animal Days with Betsy and Sherri's family. We met up with Betsy's family at their house and then drove to the farm. Sherri was running late, so she met up with us there.
We started off by going on the train. It was a cute little train that goes around in a circle a couple of times. Good times were had.
Then we saw all the animals. Tons of cute chicks, ducks, pigs, turtles, bunnies, baby bears (we could only look at those, no touching), and probably the most popular was the baby goats and sheep. The kids all loved holding the baby goats. They were so sweet and loved being held. Tyler and Josh probably would have stayed all day holding the goats.
We also got some yummy kettle corn and shared with the group. We enjoyed it on our tractor ride through the fields. It was a nice long ride. Megan didn't want to lose her hat, so she put it in her bag and put her bag under her seat. What she didn't know is that there was a hole under her seat, and she lost her bag. She started crying and felt so bad. I told her it was fine and that we would get her bag after we got back to where we started. It was kind of funny that she was trying so hard to be responsible and then it still fell out of the tractor. Tyler was able to run and grab the bag and everything was good again. We then went to the old houses and the kids played old pioneer games. After that we had pretty much seen everything. We then bought some more kettle corn and then made our way to the car. We then went to Costco with Betsy's family for lunch. Then we stopped at Gossner's for some yummy dip that Tyler and Tony love. We then drove home. It was a fun activity, and we were glad that we were able to go.Silly Girls Playing Tyler

Spring Break Fun
Since Tyler had baseball games during Spring Break, we didn't make any wild plans. We did go to Manti and then Kevin and Betsy came over with Jenni. They brought her over to spend the night for a couple days.
We went to visit Tony one of the days. Josh didn't want to go, so the rest of us went. We got to see the soap getting bottled and gave Jenni a tour of the plant.
After we went to the park that is near Tony's work. It is a really fun park and had lots of different things for kids to play on or with. It looks like they also have a fun splash pad that we'll have to come back and check out. After the kids were done, we picked up Tony and went out to lunch at Wendy's. The kids love to eat there, me not so much. It was a fun outing, and I am glad that the weather was nice for us.
Manti Temple Open House
Tony and I were able to get tickets to the Manti Temple Open House for the Monday of Spring break. We invited Lloyd and Margie to come with us and they kindly accepted.
We got there as early as we could because we heard that it had been a very busy open house and people were having to wait for hours to get in.
When we got there, there was a long line, but it was for people who didn't have a reservation. So, we got to go all the way to the top of the temple and wait in the reservation line. We had to wait about a half an hour before we got into the temple. But even our line had more than doubled by the time we got to the front. It was very popular.
This temple was so pretty. It was great to see all the antique things inside the temple and all the murals on the walls. They didn't change anything in the temple, just preserved the art and the antiques. I had only ever been to a sealing in this temple twenty years ago, so it was way cool to see more. The biggest surprise was the Assembly Hall in this temple. That room was so big and cool to see in person. A room you would only really see during an open house, so it was super neat. The kids really liked this temple too. After we went through, we drove to Spanish Fork and had lunch at Two Jacks Pizza. It was super yummy and such a great way to complete our little day trip. We have all been loving going to these temple open houses and we are super blessed that we have the opportunity to go to so many of them!
Happy Easter 2024
We did a lot of singing in sacrament today. The kids all sang "Gethsemane" and then I got to sing with the Relief Society a song that I didn't really know. Tyler also played the piano and sounded really good. Always nice to share our talents.
After we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at home. The Easter Bunny brought the kids baskets full of goodies. They seemed to enjoy their treats and prizes.
We then ate dinner at the Steenbliks. Margie had filled eggs for the boys to hid for the girls. It was rainy so they hid the eggs in the house and on the patio. The girls love egg hunting. We then had dinner and enjoyed the rest of the day with family.
Megan's 12th Birthday
Our Megan is 12! She is becoming a very wonderful young woman. She is so smart. She loves math and wants to be an engineer when she grows up. She even got into the Advance Math Placement program at the Jr. High. So, she will take 7th grade honors math during the summer and then take 8rh grade honors math as a 7th grader. She is very excited about that. She is also very creative and loves arts and crafts. She had developed a love for reading and reads for a long time every night. Many nights I have to tell her to stop reading to go to sleep. She is in the musical at her school (with Allie) and is loving it. She is Mrs. Major in Seussical the Musical. She is still playing the piano and getting better. She is playing softball and really likes it. She has pitched and prefers to play first base. She has loved being in young womans and isn't shy to speak up or to share her opinion or testimony. We are so proud of this girl and know that she will be a force to be reckoned with.
