Megan's 12th Birthday

Our Megan is 12!  She is becoming a very wonderful young woman.  She is so smart.  She loves math and wants to be an engineer when she grows up.  She even got into the Advance Math Placement program at the Jr. High.  So, she will take 7th grade honors math during the summer and then take 8rh grade honors math as a 7th grader.   She is very excited about that.

She is also very creative and loves arts and crafts.  She had developed a love for reading and reads for a long time every night.  Many nights I have to tell her to stop reading to go to sleep.  She is in the musical at her school (with Allie) and is loving it.  She is Mrs. Major in Seussical the Musical.  She is still playing the piano and getting better.  She is playing softball and really likes it.  She has pitched and prefers to play first base.

She has loved being in young womans and isn't shy to speak up or to share her opinion or testimony.  We are so proud of this girl and know that she will be a force to be reckoned with.

Megan Got Her Ears Pierced

Megan has brought up a couple times maybe wanting to get her ears pierced.  I told her that once she turns 12, then she can decide.  Well, today she decided that she did, indeed, want to get her ears pierced.

So, Tony and I (and Allie) took Megan to Claire's and had her pick out her stud earrings which were cute hearts.  The lady then marked her ears where she was going to pierce.  I approved of the marking and then she pierced her ears.  She was a little nervous, but she was very brave and looks super cute. Aunt Suzanne even got her Disney earrings for her birthday.

We also celebrated Megan and Tyler's birthdays at Margie's house after our normal family Sunday dinner.  It was low key but was something special for our two sweet kiddos.

Tyler's Prom 2024

Tyler asked out Emma Scarber to Jr. Prom.  They ended up going with another couple Savanna and Pierce.  They did a day activity where they went to Boondock's and played there for many hours and had lunch.

After they took their dates home and then came home to get ready for the dance.

They then picked up their dates and came back to our house where we had dinner ready for them.  We had a menu, and the girls were the servers.  It was adorable.  They ate dinner and dessert before going off to the dance.

They stayed at the dance for an hour or so before deciding that they had enough and then came home.  Tyler said the music wasn't very good and they didn't play many slow songs.  He said he did have a good time and was glad that he went.

Allie's Primary Activity

Allie had a fun primary activity where they watched the Primary General Broadcast and then did a fun craft.  She had a good time and loved spending time with her friends.

Tyler's Tenor/Bass Choir Concert

Tyler had his first choir concert of his high school days.  He took Tenor/Bass Choir this semester and has really liked it.  He liked it so much that he tried out for Madrigals and made it for next year.  He is very excited for that experience.

Tyler did really good, and his choir was fun to watch.  It is a very small class, but they sounded pretty good.  Tyler is always fun to watch sing because he tends to sway and really get into the music.  We love our music loving kid!

Spring Baseball Has Begun

The freezing in the cold, wind, and rain has begun and we couldn't be happier about it.  We love watching Tyler play baseball and he is doing great.
Even Margie and Lloyd join us in the freezing fun.  Luckily somedays are delightful, but no matter the weather it is always delightful watching Tyler play ball.

Playing Home Baseball

The weather was nice the other day, so Tony and Tyler went outside to practice Tyler's pitching.  Tyler was looking really good, and Tony did a good job catching most of the balls and keeping up with Tyler.

The rest of us watched in the chairs Allie got out for all of us.  Megan and Allie took turns throwing the ball and Me and Josh mainly watched.  We all have our talents.

Tyler Turned 17!

Our baby is 17!  I feel like a broken record saying that I can't believe how fast time is going.  I got to see Tyler at school on his birthday while I passed out cake for his principal's birthday "The Happiest Day of the Year".

Tyler got a box of cool things from Aunt Teagan's latest trip to Japan.  That was pretty cool.

Tyler is one of a kind!  He is very loving!  He tells us all that he loves us often.  He loves to squeeze us and then say "squeeze."

He has kept up with playing the piano and is doing a great job.  He has been singing a lot more and is loving that.

He is playing baseball and is the main JV catcher.  He loves being on the team and is learning a lot of good life lessons.

Tyler is super in tune with the spirit.  He doesn't put himself in situations where he might not have the spirit or hear things he doesn't want to hear.   He has been going to Mission Prep every month and is looking forward to going on a mission and turning in his papers in about a year.

Tyler is very smart and gets very good grades.  This year he is taking AP Physics and Concurrent Enrollment History and has gotten A's in both (all his classes really).  What else can I say, he is a great kid, and we love him.

Tyler's Going to Prom

Tyler asked a girl to Prom.  Her name is Emma Scarber, and she is a nice girl from another ward in our Stake.  He is excited to go and hopes he can find a group to go with, so he doesn't have to double date with Mom and Dad.

March Happenings

We have been having a good pre-spring over at our house.  Allie has been liking building forts and snuggling her daddy.

Tony and I were able to go to a sealing at the Mt Timpanogas temple of a girl who was in our ward.  It was an honor to attend and celebrate eternal marriage at the temple.

While I was in California, Wendy sent home some clothes for Megan, and she had so much fun doing a fashion show in all the clothes.  She looks so grown up in those clothes.  She is becoming a beautiful young woman!
