San Fran Girl Trip 2019 - Day 1: Travels

We started our trip off in the morning.  Julie picked me up with Wendy and we drove to the airport.  We parked her car there.  My mom and Teagan had my dad drop them off and Betsy took an airport shuttle from Logan.
We all made it with plenty of time to spare.  We walked the airport until it was time to board.  We all got to sit by each other in a row and had a good time being silly with each other.
Once we got to San Fran we were going to just Uber to the hotel but after calculating the cost we decided it would be more beneficial to just rent a car.  So Wendy reserved one for us and we went to the car rental place.
We picked up our rental van and then headed out of the airport to find some place to eat some lunch.

Allie's Upstart Graduation

Allie officially graduated from Upstart today.  She looked so cute!  We took Tyler with us because he had baseball practice right after the graduation.
She had to do a little assessment test before she got her certificate and gift.
Tony was able to get off of work early and Margie even came to support.  Allie had fun and was the cutest one there!

Wheeler Farm and Lunch With the Fam

We all decided to go to Wheeler Farm for some extended family fun.  Julie, Wendy, and Sherri (and their families) all met us there at Wheeler Farm.
After seeing all the smelly animals and checking out the super high fast running water we decided we all wanted some lunch.
We decided to go to Astro Burger.  It is so yummy and they have a really big lobby so we knew they would have plenty of seats for all of us.
After eating we all went to my parents house to let the kids play while us grown ups chatted with each other.  We all had a great time hanging out with our extended family, as always!

Cabin BBQ

We were a little early at getting up to the cabin so we stopped at the outlet stores first.  Since the older kids were all at grandma camp it was just Tony, Allie, and I.  We found some good deals on some new church pants for Tony and a couple shirts.
After shopping we drove up to the cabin.  They were finishing up grandma camp and they appeared to have had a great time.  After getting settled we took the kids on four wheel rides.  Tony let Tyler drive.  This was his second time he had driven the four wheeler and did a good time.  It is crazy that he is old enough to start doing these things.
After our ride we got things ready for the BBQ dinner.  It was yummy food and good conversation with the family.
After cleaning up we all headed back home.  The kids all said that they had a great time at grandma camp and were glad they were able to go.

Grandma Camp 2019

My mom did another Grandma Camp this year.  This time even Megan got to go.  My mom always does such fun things.  They did shooting, bows and arrows, boating, a service project, fire making, a hike, a scavenger hunt, and even a wood making project.
It was a lot of work for her and she is so nice to do this for her grand kids.  Teagan went up to be the other adult to help out.  Which is great because she couldn't do it alone and it's more fun without the parents of the kids.
We parents did go up on Saturday to pick up all the kids and to have a BBQ.  It is always enjoyable to watch the kids play with all their cousins and I love hanging out with my family.  I think that we all had a great time.

Backyard Makeover

We decided we waned to take out the grass and make a patio area in our back yard.  It ended up being a lot more work then we anticipated and at least double what we thought it would cost, but we think that it turned out pretty good.
Now that it is all done we are super glad that we did it.  I think that this will be a well used area of our yard.

Squirt Gun Fun in the Sun

I bought squirt guns for the kids and they had lots of fun squirting each other.  Oh the fun things to do in the summer time.

Summer Tennis

The three older kids did Tennis for a few weeks and they really liked it.  Allie and I played a lot at the park and in the car while the kids played Tennis.  They all improved and had a good time playing.  I love that they offer tennis lessons so cheap and that all the kids will participate.  Maybe next year Allie can play.  She will not be 6 yet, but maybe we can fudge that...guess we'll see.

End of Spring Ball

Wendy's had 50 cent frosties so we all got a cool treat before dropping Tyler off at his baseball game.  It was the last game of the regular season.  He made the All Star team so he'll be playing baseball a little longer.
Tyler has improved a lot this season and it has been super fun watching him play.  The weather was crazy this year but it just added to the excitement.  We are super proud of Tyler for working so hard and always being such a good sport.

Megan's Dance Recital

Megan had her last dance recital of the season.  She did really good and we are proud of her and how hard she worked at dance.  She loves to dance and it will be fun to see where it takes her.  She is such a fun, strong, brave, competitive young lady and we are lucky to have her!
