Oh, the Snow

We have had tons of snow the last day and a half.  I measured 12 inches on the toy box in the back yard but I think we got even more snow then that.
It was so much snow yesterday morning that they actually cancelled school.  They haven't had a snow day in over 10 years.
I started shoveling the snow and it was just too much so I asked my neighbor if I could borrow their snow blower and that made it so much easier.  I was able to do all of my driveway and sidewalks and my neighbors across the street.  One of these days we will get one for ourselves.
The snow stopped and cleared up for a few hours before it started again last night.  So this morning I went out and shoveled the sidewalks before school this morning.
I took Megan into the doctor yesterday afternoon because she complained her ears and mouth hurt.  Turns out she has a double ear infection and strep throat.  So Tony stopped at Costco and picked up her medication and she got started last night and is already feeling a little better.  She is home from school today but should be good to go back tomorrow.  Now we just hope and pray that no one else gets sick since we leave for California on Saturday and don't want more sick kids (or parents) on vacation.

Megan - Dancer of the Week

Megan is the Dancer of the Week at her dance studio.  She was so excited to see the hearts on the door and porch. It made her feel so special.  She also got her picture up on the wall in the dance studio.  We are so proud of our little dancer and think she is super awesome!

My Princess Engineers

My mom bought the girls these adorable play dresses from Costco and Megan and Allie were so excited to play in them.
They twirled and pranced around before getting out the Lego's and building some sweet creations.  I love that they can be girly girls and smarty pants at the same time!

Hockey Game

A family in our ward had three tickets to the Grizzly Hockey game that they gave to our family.  Tony asked Tyler and Josh if they wanted to go.  Josh did not want to go but Megan really wanted to go.  Tony took Tyler and Megan to the game and they had a great time.  Tyler was interested in the game and liked watching and learning about hockey with Tony.  Megan didn't care must for the game but liked watching the bear mascot running around the arena.  They got lots of little swag items from different vendors and the kids loved that.
They had a great time at the game and would love to go again.

Megan's Dance Recital

Megan did such a good job at her dance recital.  Tony dropped off Megan, the boys, and I off at Murray High then he and Allie went and picked up Nana.  They then came and meet up with us and my mom at the high school.  The show was about an hour long and it was fun to watch the kids doing their dancing.  We are so proud of our Megan and how hard she worked on her dance.

Sledding!

It was so cold but we all really wanted to take advantage of the freshly fallen snow by going sledding at the school.  We were some of the first ones there so we had lots of fresh snow to play with.  Tyler and I stayed and played a little longer then the rest, but it was so cold and windy that we all didn't stay for too long.  We had a good time though!

Newest Deacon!

Our Tyler is now a deacon.  He had his interview with the bishop last Sunday and was all ready to get set apart after church.  My parents and Tony's parents came after church and joined with us in Tyler's setting apart.  Tony did a great job and Tyler was overcome with emotion.  It was a great moment and we are super proud of Tyler and the young man that he is becoming!

And doesn't he look so sharp in his new suit from Grandma Margie and Papa Lloyd!!!

Temple Date

Their have been some changes in the temple ceremony so Tony and I wanted to go and check them out.  We were able to take the kids to Margie's after school while Tony and I went to the temple.
We enjoyed our session and the changes that have been made.  It was nice getting away from the everyday activities and enjoying the more spiritual things of life.
We are trying to go to the temple more this year so it was also a great start to our goal.  We love to get to the temple!

My Little Helpers

Tyler was so sweet in wanting to help shovel our neighbors driveway.  He shoveled our sidewalk first and then headed across the street to shovel Ray's driveway.  He has been sick for a few months and Tyler knew he wouldn't be able to do it for himself.  I was so proud of him that he thought to do this for Ray all by himself.
Megan saw Tyler outside shoveling and wanted to go out and help too.  So she got all ready and helped Tyler shovel our driveway.  She is getting so big and can be a big helper.  I am so thankful for these sweet kids and the kind giving heart that they have.  It makes a mama proud!

Sledding With Cousins

Julie came over with her kids and we all went over to the school and went sledding.  It was so much fun.  We only had three sleds and tubs so we had to take turns, but the kids were good at sharing and had a blast.  Playing in the snow can be so much fun!
