Oregon 2018 - Day 4: Candy Store, Fire Pit, & DQ

After our shirts were all completed it was time to take the kids to the candy store up the street.
We had all the kids line up from youngest to oldest to get their $2 from Papa G.
They all looked so cute lined up together excited for their candy money.
I got my siblings to all line up in the back of the kids line in our order to get money from Papa G too.  It was pretty funny and we all got $5.  It is pretty fun to see all of us walking down the street as a big group.  We love our family traditions.
After our treats we came back and made a fire.  It was nice sitting around the fire and hearing the kids playing in the yard.  The kids have so much time together with their cousins.
We, of course, also went to DQ that night.  Different people come each night and we always have a great time together.

Oregon 2018 - Day 4: Tie Dye Shirts

After lunch we all went back to my grandpa's place to make our tie-dye shirts.
My dad had shirts delivered but they didn't all come (all the kids shirts were missing) so Wendy and Julie ran to Walmart to pick up the missing shirts.
Tony and I decided to get started on our shirts while we waited for the kids shirts.
When the kids shirts got there we then helped them dye all their shirts.  Allie wasn't into it at first but then decided to give it a try.  Tyler made his shirt like the sunset over the water.  Josh just did two colors in stripes.  Megan did all of hers all by herself and she did a good job.
Our kids love their tie dye shirts and like wearing them often.  Tony and I like wearing them in Oregon with the group.  It is a fun activity that we all enjoy.

Oregon 2018 - Day 4: Family Lunch

The men finished up on the house before we got back from our hike.  So they all showered and were ready by the time we got back to the cottages.
We then all went to Old Fashion Burgers and Shakes for lunch as a family.  We pretty much filled up the whole place.  I love seeing all the cousins together and who they choose to sit by and play with.  

Oregon 2018 - Day 4: Estuary Fun

The men went to help my dad do demo on one of his rental houses on Monday morning.  While they were out working we took all the kids to the Estuary.  It had a really nice hike that went around in a big circle with different trails.
It starts off in the forest and then goes towards the water.  We got to go over bridges and on a cool tower, up and down many trails.
It was beautiful and nice and cool.  The kids all did really good for the most part.  Allie got tired before the end and I knew I couldn't carry her so Wendy gave her a piggy back ride up the mountain to the end of the trail.
It was the perfect hike for our group and I look forward to doing it again next year.

Oregon 2018 - Day 3: Coos Bay Bound

Nate and Amy made us a yummy breakfast before we left their house.  They are such good hosts.

We drove to Eugene to get gas and lunch at Costco.  Always good times at Costco.  After we bought some yummy goods we finished our drive down to Coos Bay.
We checked into our cottage and got our car all unpacked.  The weather was nice and cool and we were all ready to go to the beach.
We got out the beach chairs and the beach toys an we all had a great time.  The cooler weather on the beach was just what we needed.

I went back to start dinner and get Allie all cleaned up after the beach.  Tony brought the others back after a while and got them all cleaned up.  After dinner we let the kids play for a while before putting them to bed.
After the kids were all sleeping I went to DQ with my siblings.  It is an awesome tradition that we all have to go to DQ as siblings and adults at 9:15 pm every night.  They close at 10:00 pm so it's just less then an hour of quality time together.  It's much needed.

Oregon 2018 - Day 2: Bend Bound

The drive from Boise to Bend went really well.  No problems at all.  We got into Bend at lunch time and told Nate and Amy that we would meet them at McDonald's for lunch.  Our kids needed a play place to let off some steam.
After lunch we went to Costco and then we went to Nate and Amy's house.  Amy and I decided to go get pedicures while Tony and Nate hung out with the kids.  After we got back we all went out to dinner.  After dinner we took the kids to the pirate ship park.  The weather was perfect and we all had a great time at the park.
After the park we went back to the house where we got the kids all ready for bed.
After they were all sleeping Tony and Nate went out and got some ice cream.  They had some good brother bonding time.  It is always fun hanging out with family.

Oregon 2018 - Day 1: Boise Bound

After we got the car all packed we loaded up and started our drive to Boise.  We got lunch and then finished our drive to our hotel in Boise.  We wanted to go swimming when we got there but their pool was closed for a couple hours.  So we decided to get some gas in the car and gets some dinner before swimming.
Luckily once we got back it was all back opened again and we all had fun swimming.  Our kids love the water and love playing in it for hours.  After we all showered and got on P.J.'s we then got a good nights sleep. 

End Of Summer Soccer

The kids all had their last games of the summer season.  The real last game is on Tuesday but we will be in Oregon that day.  The kids all had a great time playing even though it was super hot.
