Disneyland - Mickey & Minnie Mouse (Goofy & Pluto too)

Trip to California 2018

We got up early Saturday morning and got ready to leave for California.  Margie came to our house to pick us all up and her and Tony loaded the car and then we were off.
Our first stop was in St. George to visit with Nana.  The kids love visiting Nana and playing with her horse and train.  We visited for a while before we left to get some lunch before our next leg of our journey.  We decided to stop at the Alien Jerky store to check it out.  They had some pretty funny Alien stuff there that the kids liked to look at.  The jerky wasn't the best, but it was fun to try new things (and use the bathroom).
After our visit we completed our drive to California.  We got some gas and then we checked into our hotel.  After unloading our car, Tony and Margie went and picked up some dinner for me and the kids.  After they dropped off our food they went and picked up our Disneyland tickets from Disneyland so that we wouldn't have to do that on Monday morning.  After that they got them some dinner and then they walked around Downtown Disney.
The boys did some homework and then all the kids enjoyed relaxing in the hotel watching shows and playing the tablets before bed while I unpacked the bags and got us ready for the week ahead.  Good times for everyone!

Baby Graham's Blessing

Tyler, Josh, and I went down to Springville to go to Sherri and Rich's church for the blessing of baby Graham.
Megan had spiked a fever the day before so Tony stayed home with her and Allie.  We didn't know what Megan had, we really hoped it was not the flu, but we didn't know for sure.  A high fever and cold-like symptoms.  Because of this we really didn't want to spread any germs, especially to baby Graham.
Rich did a good job with the blessing and after sacrament was over we all went over to the Rich's parents warehouse-thing to have the lunch in.  It was a super cool place with a big sports court in the middle and some play houses for little kids to play.
It was freezing cold, but we all had a good time.  There was a lot of food and Rich's mom even bought stuffed animals for all of the kids.  After eating we helped clean up the place before going back home.  It was nice to spend time with family and celebrate Graham.

Graham is Officially Adopted

Allie and I had the opportunity to go to the court hearing where Sherri and Rich officially adopted Graham.  We drove to the Provo court house in the morning and met up with Rich's parents and our parents before Sherri, Rich, and Graham arrived.
The hearing went really well and fast.  Some questions were asked and the judge called Graham "cute as a button."  Allie thought that was funny and laughed out loud and said "cute as a button."  Then the judge asked if that was a sibling, nope a cousin.  It was pretty funny.
After it was over Rich's parents left and my parents took us all out to lunch.  We went to a local place that had home style food.  Allie and I had the pot roast.  It was super yummy.  After a good lunch, Allie and I drove back home.  It was a good day for our family.

Playing at the Park

We drove to a couple different baseball parks and one had a really fun park that we stopped at to let the kids play.  They had a wonderful time but Tony and I were super cold so we didn't stay for too long.  It was nice to get out in the sun shine, even though it was cold.

Papa Stories

Papa Lloyd is so good to read books to the kids.  I love watching Allie climb on Papa's lap and ask him to read her stories.  We sure do love our Papa!

Megan's Dance Recital

Megan had her first dance recital.  Her hair was suppose to be up and curled so we got us a new small curling iron and went to town on her hair.  It took a while, but it looked so cute!  I put some makeup on her and then she was all ready to go.
My parents were out of town, but Tony's parents and even Nana were able to come and support Megan.  Sherri was going to come, but it snowed a lot that morning and it wasn't safe for her to come down.
Her recital was at Murray High and she did a great job.  Her class was like 23rd out of like 30 dances.  She did so good.  She remembered all the steps and looked adorable.  It was so fun to go see her perform the dance she had been learning.  She had a good time and looks forward to her next recital.

Scouts

The boys are still loving scouts.  The stake just changed how they do the scouts and changed up the leaders, so it will be a little different this year.  I am sure that the boys will still really love it.  They are both doing very well.

Kids in Logan

While I have been down this weekend Betsy so kindly offered to take my kids and let them stay at here house.  Megan didn't want to go at first but then Betsy talked her into it and I am sure she is very glad that she did.  Little Teagan really wanted her to come up and play with her so that they could have girl time.
The kids all played with balloons with lights in them, went to the Home Depot and did a wood painting project, played in the snow, played night games at the neighbors, and then even went to church with them.  They had a wonderful time and it was so nice to relax in peace.  Allie played nicely by herself and only asked about the other kids once.
It was so nice of Betsy and Kevin to take the kids and show them such a good time.

Boys at the Cabin

After Christmas my family went up to the cabin.  We had somethings that we needed to do at home so my parents said that they would take the boys up to play in the snow.
Tyler had the best time ever.  He loves the snow and loves his cousins.  He and Averee played the most together and had a wonderful time.
Josh liked it up their too, but he liked playing the Wii and being inside more then playing in the snow.  I didn't have all the right stuff for him to play in the snow, so he got cold fast.  I have since bought him the right size snow clothes.  He should like it better next time.
Besides being cold, they both did a have a great time playing with cousins, sleeping at the cabin, and playing in the snow.  I was thankful that my parents took the boys and let them hang with their cousins.
