Last Soccer Game of the Season

"The Ninja's" in all their glory with their trophies after their last soccer game.  It was a fun season playing soccer with cousin Matt.  Josh says he'd like to try baseball next.
"The Dragon's" - well some of them.  Only 5 kids showed up for the last game.  Tyler played very hard and even scored a goal.  We are looking forward to Tyler moving up to the 3rd and 4th grade team next season.

Sprinkler Fun

Max and Dona's sprinklers turned on and our kids flipped out with excitement.  I told them they could get on their swimsuits and they ran super fast and got changed so they could play in the water.
Megan at first was a little nervous to get wet.  She sure looks cute looking at the sprinklers.
Tyler was the first one to run completely through the sprinklers.  He didn't waist anytime and had a blast running fast.
Tyler and Josh all wet from the sprinklers.  They really had a wonderful time.
Megan finally got up the nerve to go through the sprinklers but wanted someone to go with her.  Tyler being the awesome big brother he is, said he would take her.  So hand in hand they walked ever so carefully through the sprinklers.
By the time they came back through the sprinklers Megan was hooked and was running through them without any help at all.  She just needed a little help from her big brother at first.
Megan running and getting all wet.  She loved it.  What could be better on a warm day?
Josh making his rounds around the tree.  He too loved getting wet and running all over the place in the sprinklers.
BEST PICTURE EVER!!!  My three oldest after playing in the sprinklers.  All ready for a warm bath.

Trip To Logan

We went up to Logan for a fun weekend get-a-way.  We had my nieces baby blessing on Sunday and we didn't want to have to drive up to Logan super early on Sunday morning, so we made a weekend out of it and stayed the night on Saturday.
Saturday started with the boy's soccer games.  Tyler and Josh both scored goals.  Tyler had like 8 really close attempts that should have been goals, so it was a really fun game to watch.
After the games we came home and packed up the car and headed up towards Logan.  Our first stop was the Pepperidge Farm factory.  They did not have a very good selection, but we did get some Gold Fish crackers in bulk so it wasn't a total bust.
After that we headed to the "Fat Boy" factory where they were celebrating their anniversary and were offering their Fat Boy ice creams for only 5 cents a piece per person.  So we went and got six ice creams for only 35 cents (plus tax).  It was a nice little treat and fun to eat at the ice cream shop.  We also got a nice family picture there.
After that we checked into our hotel.  We got all our bags in our room before heading back out to go to Sam's Club.  We were asked to bring somethings to the baby blessing lunch that we still needed to pick up.
After Sam's we went to Kevin and Betsy's house to let the kids play.  It was our first time at their new home.  Kevin gave me the tour and it is a super nice house.  We are really happy for them.  We were all hungry by now so we headed out to The Pizza Factory.  The food was super good but the kids pretty much just wanted to get back to the hotel so we could go swimming.
ALL the kids just LOVED the pool.  I already knew my three older kids loved pools, but Allie proved to be just the same.  She loved the water and didn't get fussy at all.  We were in the water for a good long time and she seemed pretty happy the whole time.  She liked to take breaks and sit on the wall and then she would lean down and give me big wet kisses.
The kids all did pretty good with either the water wings or the tub around them.  The boys jumped into the pool from all sides.  They loved doing canon balls and seeing how much they could splash.  The other cousins joined us as well (Julie and Kevin's kids).  Julie and Boyd were staying at our same hotel and Kevin came from his house after dinner.  We all had such a fun time and totally wore ourselves out.
After the pool we went back to our room and showered and bathed.  After we were all cleaned and in pajamas's it was definitely bedtime.  Allie went to sleep first but didn't last very long in her port-a-crib.  Then the three kids feel asleep pretty fast after that.  We started them off all in the same bed and they were just so cute snuggling all together.  That didn't last too long into the night because Megan fell out of bed and then came into our bed where we already had Allie.  I was so worried that Megan was going to hit Allie that I put her in my spot and went and slept in the boys bed.  That wasn't much better then my bed with the girls and Tony.  So I think we are going to start needing to find rooms with a pull out sofa for the boys to sleep so that we have more bed room.
The kids woke up fairly early the next morning, as they usually do.  So we got half ready and went down to the lobby for breakfast.  After we dressed and headed to Kevin's church for the blessing.  After sacrament we had a yummy lunch and then drove back home.  It was a really fun weekend with our little family and our extended family and I am glad that we were able to do it!

Tyler's Last Day of Second Grade

Today was Tyler's last day of 2nd grade.  I can't believe that this year is already gone and that next school year I will have a 3rd grader.
Tyler has chosen to go to summer school.  They offer it for all the students at his school and he wanted to do it.  I did talk with his teacher to see if he "needed" to go to summer school and she said no.  The school needed more students to attend to keep their funding so they were asking all the kids if they wanted to attend.
Tyler told me that he would rather go to summer school then hang out with his siblings.  Pretty funny kid.  It is just for the month of June and is from 9:30-1:00.  They will even feed him lunch because the free lunch program is going to be at the school this year.  Should be pretty fun for him and I am glad that he will get extra help, even though he doesn't really "need" it.

Sleepy Girls

I had two very sleepy kids today.  While I had Allie sleeping in my arms Megan feel asleep on the chair while watching a show.  After an hour or so she woke up not very happy.  She was crying and and just wanted to sit with her mommy.
So she climbed up and then it wasn't long before she fell back to sleep.  Nothing like having your babies sleeping on your lap.  I sure loves these girls and feel lucky to have them.

Allie 9 Months

Our baby girl is 9 months old.  WHAT?  Boy the time goes by quickly.  She started officially crawling just days ago.  She has been army crawling for a while, but now she is on all fours and getting around the house like a champ.
The down side of her now crawling is that she doesn't want to sleep because she wants to be exploring.  Her sleep schedule has been all messed up.  I am hoping that she will go back to her predicable schedule soon.
She had her appointment with Dr Eyre today.  She says that she looks great.  Here ears were pretty red so she is treating her for a double ear infection.  I guess that could be contributing to her change in schedule as well.  Here are Allie's stats:
Weight: 19 lbs 9 oz (73%)
Height: 28 inches (66%)
Head: 45.3 cm (85%)

BMI: 72%
I tried to take some pictures of her and she sat there so nicely for me and smiled so sweetly and then she had enough and crawled away.  It really is so cute to see her crawling around the house.
Allie likes to say "da da" the most.  She likes mostly all the food we give her.  She still is a good little eater.  We are going to try to switch her to regular formula instead of the gentle stuff.  Hopefully that will help the transition to whole milk.  Allie still loves her siblings and they love her too.  They love to play with her and make her laugh.  Josh can get her laughing the hardest. She is generally happy and loves to be outside.  If she is getting fussy and we go outside she instantly is happier.  We love our baby girl!

Josh's Last Day of Preschool

Josh (and Megan) with some of his preschool friends.  They had a fun party for the last day of school.  They had treats, popcorn, a movie, pizza, cake, and goodies that they took home.  It was so much fun.
Josh (and Megan) sitting on the carpet waiting for the certificates to be passed out.
Allie liked the yummy cake that they had.  She patiently watched the party from her stroller.  The kid literally could not keep their hands off of her.  Luckily they mostly liked to pet her head.  I was trying to get them away from her as nicely as I could, that was hard.
Josh and his whole class (plus some extra siblings like Megan).
Ms Michelle, Joshua, and Ms Amy.  Josh is now all done with preschool and is kindergarten bound.  I can't believe it!

New Carpet

We decided to do something crazy and have the whole house carpeted.  We knew that we would get a better deal if we did the whole house at once and we wanted all the carpet to match.
To keep cost low we tore out all the old carpet on our own and moved all our own furniture.  Before the carpet guys got to our house we were able to take out all the carpet on the floors but not the stuff on the stairs.  Tony didn't anticipate how hard it would be to remove this carpet and it took him and Nate a long time to remove all the carpet and most of the staples that were on the stairs.  They were very happy when all the stairs were done.
We are loving our new carpet and think that they did a good job.  It feels so soft on our feet and it really hides things well.  I feel much better having Allie crawling around on the floor with this carpet verses the old floor.  I just hope we can keep it nice for when it's time to sale our house.

Gardening With Max

Max waited to put in his garden so that our kids could help.  They were all really excited at first and were all really good helpers before they got tired and decided they were done.  Funny how kids are always done before the work is done.
Max was very patient with the kids and taught them well how to plant the different types of plants.  We will go back and see how everything has grown in a week or so and see what the kids think.
Max and Dona are always so nice to share their yummy veggies with us each summer.  This year they might just taste a little sweeter!  After all their hard work the kids were rewarded with pop cycles.  Those Kunzler's sure are awesome neighbors and friends.

Fun Saturday With The Family

Derek and Don came to town for Mother's Day so we have been hanging out with the family this weekend.
We all got together and went to Costco, Margie needed some things.  At Costco they had employees dressed up as super hero's.  So we got a picture with Tyler and Josh's favorite super hero's.  After that we went to a big sporting goods store where they have rides and other fun things.  After he store we took all the kids, minus the babies, back to grandma's where Landon and Cortnie babysat so that we adults could all go out to dinner together.  We went to our favorite Mexican restaurant and had so much fun hanging out as siblings and friends.
