Dinner With Old Friends

Tonight we got together with some friends that I grow up with.  Some of these girls went to Elementary with me and the others Jr. High.  It was really fun to get together and hear about what has been going on in each others lives.  It was fun to see everyone and hope that we can do it again soon.  Wow, how things have changed.

Helping and Playing at The Neighbors

Our neighbors, the Kunzler's, rented a bobcat and had a pile of dirt delivered to fill in the ditch in the back of their house.  They asked Tony if he could drive the bobcat for them and of course Tony did.  I think he was having a little too much fun driving the brand new bobcat.  He was spinning out a little bit and having a good time playing with the big toy.
So we all went over to their house and watched Daddy drive the dirt and the kids played and played.  All the kids just LOVE playing in their backyard and it is always hard to get them to leave.

We love the Kunzler's.  They are the best.  So thoughtful and caring of our family.  They bought us all pizza to eat at their house while we watched Tony.  They are so good to let the kids play at their house and get into their toys.  Tyler loves to play in their hammock.  They also have a really fun tree that is pretty easy for the kids to climb, so they really love that.  It's just a fun place to be with fun people.
So glad that we (meaning Tony) were able to help them out with their pile of dirt.  They are going to have more loads brought for a couple more nights, so that should be lots of fun for us all.

Megan's First Piggy Tails

She doesn't have much hair but what she did have I was able to get into three different pig tails.  She sat pretty good for me as long as she had some sort of toy to play with.  I say let the hair grow so we can start doing super fun things with this cuties hair!

Today Was So Much Fun

We had such a good day today.  It started by going up to Logan for the blessing of my brother's new baby, Gavin.  The drive up went really well.  The boys played with their new game that we got them from Denver on the InnoTab and Megan ended up falling asleep after about a half an hour.
Church was nice.  Kevin did a good job and Baby Gavin is now blessed.  After church we went back to Kevin and Betsy's house and had a super yummy lunch.  After eating and chatting for a while we decided to go and visit Tony's brother, Derek.
Derek moved into a new town house, so it was nice to see his new place.  We got to meet his new roommate and the kids liked rough housing with Uncle Derek, even though they called him Uncle Nate.
After we officially annoyed his roommate, we decided to go.  We wanted to see if Yvette was home, so we stopped by her house before heading home.  When we got to Yvette's house it was her husband who came to the door and he told us that she just got into the shower.  We decided to wait and play with her dogs.  He granddaughter was there and the boys liked playing with  her.
Yvette came out after not too long and we had a good chat.  The boys went into her back yard to play with her granddaughter and we followed shortly after.  They were playing with water guns and water from the sprinklers.  It didn't take Josh long to get all wet, so I let him take off his wet clothes and he just played around in his underwear.  Tyler got really wet too, but they had so much fun.  Megan even ended up climbing in the little pool and she sat down.  She wasn't too happy when she did that, I think it was a lot colder then she thought it'd be.
All the kids had so much fun.  They were running around their huge and fun back yard and could have played there for hours and hours.  I felt kind of bad that we just showed up and then stayed for hours.  They didn't seem to mind and enjoyed having some kids for their granddaughter to play with.  Yvette and her husband, Russ, and the nicest people you will meet.  She gave us some toys for Koda, toys for the boys, and even a monkey back pack for Megan.  Just so nice.  We showed up unannounced and then they give us gifts.  So nice.
So we didn't end up getting home until about 7:00 tonight.  We didn't think we would be up there that long, but we had a great time.  We sure do love being with friends and family.

Adios Denver

Tony and I are sitting in the airport now waiting to go home.  Our flight should leave in about a half an hour.  We have been here for about two hours, so it's been super awesome...

Us at Chili's
They called our number, so I had to stop.  We are now home.  Our flight was really good.  It ended up leaving late, so that wasn't fun.  They had us all in and waiting to leave and then we had to wait another 20 minutes.  But the flight itself went smoothly, so that is the main thing that matters.

This morning we started our day by checking out of our hotel.  We then drove to Ball Corp and had our breakfast there.  Then the meetings started and lasted until about 11:00 am.  We decided to find some outlet stores for us to go walk around.  We found one on the other side of Denver.  It was about 45 minutes away from Ball.

Us waiting to take off on the plane home
The drive to the outlets wasn't bad, a little traffic.  It was a nice place for outlet stores.  It was kind of in the mountains and it was pretty.  We didn't really find anything we wanted.   A couple shirts for Tyler for next year, but that's all.  After shopping we went to lunch at Chili's.  It was good food and we had a good time.  After lunch we decided to head back to the airport and turn in our car.  It was a good thing we left early because we ran into traffic.  We gassed up the car and dropped it off and then the shuttle took us to the airport.  We checked in and we were good to then hangout and wait for our flight.

Tony's dad picked us up from the airport.  It was nice to be back.  When we got back to Tony's parents house Koda was in the back yard and started totally barking and jumping when he saw us.  He was so excited to have us back.  Then Tyler and Josh came and gave us hugs and kisses and they were so excited to see us.  Then Margie came out with Megan and she was happy to see us too.  She surprised us when she was pretty calm at first and then she reached for us and was so happy to have us.  We then packed up the car and headed home.  We gave the kids a couple gifts we had for them and then put them to bed.  Now we are all unpacked and relaxing.  It's super nice to be home.  We start pretty early tomorrow with Tyler's soccer game at 9:00 am.  Should be fun!

Back to Our Room

Tony and I in our room before leaving to our meetings
We are now back in our room for the night.  The tour to the can making plant wasn't as cool as I thought it was going to be.  They weren't processing when we were there, so we didn't get to see the cans being made.  We did get to see the lids being made and the tops of beer cans being made, so that was pretty cool.  It was loud and smelly.  It was also like 40 minutes away from the corporate office and our bus driver drove so slow.  He didn't take the freeway and all the stop and go from the lights and traffic really made me sick.  I don't like riding in buses, they always make me sick.
The second place we visited was more like the labs where they tested products.  So they had a tasting lab, chem lab, product testing lab, etc.  It was sort of interesting, but more boring then I thought it would be.  After the tours we went back to corporate and had "cocktails" and dinner.  So really we had canned water and dinner.  Tony really liked the dinner, but I wasn't such a fan.
After dinner we came back to the hotel and then skyped with the kids and Tony's parents.  We did this last night too and it is a lot of fun.  It is fun to see the kids and they were silly on the computer.  Megan did great seeing us.  We thought she might cry because she would want us, but she just waved and was perfectly happy.  She is so smart that she understood that we were just on the computer and not there.
After we chatted for about a half an hour we decided to go and get some ice cream.  We ended up at the mall and had an ice cream cone.  We walked around the mall and found a couple items that we bought.  We decided to go home so that I could start packing.  Now I am pretty much all packed and getting ready for bed.
Tomorrow we have more conference until about 11:00 or noon.  We have to have the car back to the car rental place at 3:30 and we fly out at 5:35.  So we will have a couple hours to tour around town before we have to get back.  We might go around Boulder and check that out.  It has been nice to be away, but it will be nice to get home again.

Sluffing Class

Tony standing by our rental car.
I decided to not attend the classes this morning so that I could just hang out and relax.  Some of the classes yesterday were quite boring, so I was glad to have a break.  They did have some very interesting things that they showed us and they kept us well feed and hydrated.
This morning Tony and I drove to the Ball Corp for breakfast and then when they started the meetings I left.  I decided to go walk around WalMart and then I came back to the hotel.  So now I am here relaxing for probably about another half an hour and then I will go back.  They should then have lunch and then we all board buses to go tour their two different plants that make the cans.  I enjoy seeing how things are made, so that should be lots of fun.
So far this has been a fun trip and I am glad that Tony and I were able to do it.  It is nice to be together and even if some of the things are boring, at least we are still together and that is what matters.  They had some booze with dinner last night, we decided not to have any.  We stuck with our canned water (yes I said "canned" water).  They make cans at Ball so they don't offer bottled water, just canned water.  It's different, but fun.  I am going to take some home.  I hope it doesn't explode in my suitcase.

Going To Denver

Tony on the couch in our room at Embassy
Yesterday after the boys got out of school Tony and I dropped all the kids (and Koda) off at Tony's parents.  It started raining really bad right as we were getting ready to go.  It was a pretty awesome storm.
Teagan came and got us and took us to the airport.  We checked in and got through security quickly and then had about an hour to just hang out at the airport.  The flight ended up being a little late, but not too bad.  We got lucky to get the last two seats in the plane that were by each other.  With Southwest you're suppose to check-in 24 hours before your flight to get your boarding order, but we forgot and did it hours later then we wanted to.  So we hope we are able to get to a computer Thursday evening so we have a better boarding order on Friday.
The flight was really good for the most part.  I felt really good and was super happy that I wasn't feeling really sick...until we started descending and flew into the worse turbulence that I have ever experienced.   I really thought I was going to throw up.  I started crying because I felt so sick and really didn't want to throw up...I was very emotional.  I had Tony fan me with a paper and that helped a lot.  I was very happy when we landed without me throwing up.
We then took a train to the luggage claim and waiting about 15 minutes for our bag before going to the car rental bus to take us to get our car.  The Denver Airport is a very large airport.  I was very surprised by it's size.  We got to the car rental place and we were able to pick out the car that we wanted.  We went with a small SUV and we were on our way to the hotel, Embassy Suites.  It was about 15 minutes away and it wasn't hard to find.  We had a nice room.  They had a little reception with chips and veggie and drinks.  We just got some soda before heading out to find some place to eat dinner.
We decided to go to Texas Roadhouse.  I couldn't believe it was already 7:00 pm.  It seemed like we totally lost like six hours of our day.  Tony and I shared some yummy food and then headed back to the hotel to rest.
This morning we ate a super yummy made to order breakfast (it's why we love Embassy).  Then we got ready, packed, and now we are going to head towards our next hotel.  We will probably find a Costco and walk around it before we can check into our hotel.  We figured it's better to do that then just sit in our hotel room.
So far it's been a fun trip and we start the "Canning School" today...should be interesting.

Last Day of School

Today is Josh's last day of Preschool.  Technically he has it on Thursday, but since the kids will be at Tony's parents house it wouldn't be worth it for Margie to have to take him all the way here just for an hour and half preschool.  So today is the day.  Josh has really enjoyed "Josh school" and it has been nice for him to have something special that is just his.  It has also really helped his speech.  It still isn't where it should be, but it is lots better.

Tyler's last day of school is tomorrow.  Since Tony and I will be gone, I took his last day of school picture today.  He was really excited to give his teacher her Thank You gift.  He wanted to hold it all the way to school and then when it came time to go into his class he totally forgot about it and so I had to give it to his teacher.  It was nice the thank her for a great year.  She told me that if she had a class full of Tyler's she would have no problems.  She is a great teacher and Tyler has had a great Kindergarten year.
Tony and I leave for Denver this afternoon.  We are super excited for the trip and hope that all goes well here at home and with the kids.  A huge thank you to Margie for taking our kids while Tony and I are in Denver.  It is so nice to know that our kids are well taken care of and having a super good time.  Tyler and Josh are super excited to have three sleep overs at grandmas.  They are so lucky.

Park Fun

For Memorial Day we pretty much just spent the day at home.  We did go to Sam's Club, that was a hoot.
We decided to go to the park by our house and we all had a good time.  Some dude was there "reserving" the park for some party, so we didn't stay too long.  His music was pretty annoying and loud.  Besides that we had a good time and the kids had fun with the camera.  They all wanted lots of pictures, so lots of pictures is what they got.  We just love these kids so much!
