Sluffing Class

Tony standing by our rental car.
I decided to not attend the classes this morning so that I could just hang out and relax.  Some of the classes yesterday were quite boring, so I was glad to have a break.  They did have some very interesting things that they showed us and they kept us well feed and hydrated.
This morning Tony and I drove to the Ball Corp for breakfast and then when they started the meetings I left.  I decided to go walk around WalMart and then I came back to the hotel.  So now I am here relaxing for probably about another half an hour and then I will go back.  They should then have lunch and then we all board buses to go tour their two different plants that make the cans.  I enjoy seeing how things are made, so that should be lots of fun.
So far this has been a fun trip and I am glad that Tony and I were able to do it.  It is nice to be together and even if some of the things are boring, at least we are still together and that is what matters.  They had some booze with dinner last night, we decided not to have any.  We stuck with our canned water (yes I said "canned" water).  They make cans at Ball so they don't offer bottled water, just canned water.  It's different, but fun.  I am going to take some home.  I hope it doesn't explode in my suitcase.

Going To Denver

Tony on the couch in our room at Embassy
Yesterday after the boys got out of school Tony and I dropped all the kids (and Koda) off at Tony's parents.  It started raining really bad right as we were getting ready to go.  It was a pretty awesome storm.
Teagan came and got us and took us to the airport.  We checked in and got through security quickly and then had about an hour to just hang out at the airport.  The flight ended up being a little late, but not too bad.  We got lucky to get the last two seats in the plane that were by each other.  With Southwest you're suppose to check-in 24 hours before your flight to get your boarding order, but we forgot and did it hours later then we wanted to.  So we hope we are able to get to a computer Thursday evening so we have a better boarding order on Friday.
The flight was really good for the most part.  I felt really good and was super happy that I wasn't feeling really sick...until we started descending and flew into the worse turbulence that I have ever experienced.   I really thought I was going to throw up.  I started crying because I felt so sick and really didn't want to throw up...I was very emotional.  I had Tony fan me with a paper and that helped a lot.  I was very happy when we landed without me throwing up.
We then took a train to the luggage claim and waiting about 15 minutes for our bag before going to the car rental bus to take us to get our car.  The Denver Airport is a very large airport.  I was very surprised by it's size.  We got to the car rental place and we were able to pick out the car that we wanted.  We went with a small SUV and we were on our way to the hotel, Embassy Suites.  It was about 15 minutes away and it wasn't hard to find.  We had a nice room.  They had a little reception with chips and veggie and drinks.  We just got some soda before heading out to find some place to eat dinner.
We decided to go to Texas Roadhouse.  I couldn't believe it was already 7:00 pm.  It seemed like we totally lost like six hours of our day.  Tony and I shared some yummy food and then headed back to the hotel to rest.
This morning we ate a super yummy made to order breakfast (it's why we love Embassy).  Then we got ready, packed, and now we are going to head towards our next hotel.  We will probably find a Costco and walk around it before we can check into our hotel.  We figured it's better to do that then just sit in our hotel room.
So far it's been a fun trip and we start the "Canning School" today...should be interesting.

Last Day of School

Today is Josh's last day of Preschool.  Technically he has it on Thursday, but since the kids will be at Tony's parents house it wouldn't be worth it for Margie to have to take him all the way here just for an hour and half preschool.  So today is the day.  Josh has really enjoyed "Josh school" and it has been nice for him to have something special that is just his.  It has also really helped his speech.  It still isn't where it should be, but it is lots better.

Tyler's last day of school is tomorrow.  Since Tony and I will be gone, I took his last day of school picture today.  He was really excited to give his teacher her Thank You gift.  He wanted to hold it all the way to school and then when it came time to go into his class he totally forgot about it and so I had to give it to his teacher.  It was nice the thank her for a great year.  She told me that if she had a class full of Tyler's she would have no problems.  She is a great teacher and Tyler has had a great Kindergarten year.
Tony and I leave for Denver this afternoon.  We are super excited for the trip and hope that all goes well here at home and with the kids.  A huge thank you to Margie for taking our kids while Tony and I are in Denver.  It is so nice to know that our kids are well taken care of and having a super good time.  Tyler and Josh are super excited to have three sleep overs at grandmas.  They are so lucky.

Park Fun

For Memorial Day we pretty much just spent the day at home.  We did go to Sam's Club, that was a hoot.
We decided to go to the park by our house and we all had a good time.  Some dude was there "reserving" the park for some party, so we didn't stay too long.  His music was pretty annoying and loud.  Besides that we had a good time and the kids had fun with the camera.  They all wanted lots of pictures, so lots of pictures is what they got.  We just love these kids so much!

Silly Days

Josh was riding his bike earlier today with his training wheels on, so I asked if he was ready to try to ride without is training wheels.  He said he wanted to try, so Tony took off his training wheels and they had a go at it.  Josh tried for about five minutes and then was done.  Then he tried again later for another five minutes before he was done.  I don't think that he is ready for it. Tony says that he hasn't committed himself to it, so my guess is the training wheels will go back soon.
After the short try on the bike, Josh went and got his scooter and was riding like a champ on it.  He loves riding his scooter and he is really quite impressive on it.  He goes really fast and can go on just one leg for a long time.  He is so much fun to watch.  He does scare me sometime because he gets moving so fast.  I am glad that they like to be out and be active, but they make me nervous.
Once I got out the camera to take pictures of Josh trying to ride without training wheels, Tyler wanted to show off his mad skills.  So he did "no fingers" and had me take his picture.  I am very glad that he is sticking with small tricks like "no fingers" versus tricks like "no hands."  Tyler still really likes riding his bike and asks to ride often.  I let him ride in the drive way, but he mostly wants to ride in the road and back and forth from our neighbors driveways.  I wont just let him ride in the street unless I am outside watching.  I just want to make sure that the boys are watching for cars.
I then of course had to get a pictures of our sweet Megan girl.  She loves to play outside and can't get enough.  She still has no fear at all.  She has started jumping more.  She can jump off the fireplace and does pretty good.  She sometimes tries to jump off the couch, so doesn't do so good with that one.  It's just too high.  She scares me a lot that she's going to fall and get hurt.  Even Tyler has started telling Megan that she is "freaking him out" when she's climbing on the side table by the couch.  She wants to be big like the boys.  And she is.

Oh These Kids

Earlier today I noticed that Megan had some baby powder on her pants.  I figured that some how she got it from the drawer and then I went into the bedroom and found that Josh was the one that had it and he was the one that dumped it out all over the room, himself, and Megan.  He didn't have any problem posing for a picture of him and his mess.  His foot is so white it looks like he's wearing a sock.  I vacuumed it up, but it didn't all come up.  Good thing I have learned to be super chill about stuff like this.
Megan has learned a couple new tricks this past weekend.  She now shakes her head no all the time.  You ask her a questions and she almost always shakes her head no.  Sometimes she will say "yah," but not all the time.  She is so darn cute when she is shaking her head.  She also says "hi" and she waves a lot more.  She has waved for a while with mainly her whole hand, but now she uses just her fingers and does it all the time.  After her nap she saw Tyler walk into the room and she got a big grin on her face and started waving to him.  She loves her Tyler and Tyler loves his Megan.
Tyler had his Cultural Night at school tonight.  He was really excited because he knew the dance and song really well.  He showed me a little of the dance and would sing me just a little of the song.  We all headed over to the school and got our spot on the hill waiting for it to start.  Margie and Lloyd met us there not long after we arrived.  The kindergartners were first and Tyler did great.  He was the first one in the line of the boys.  He participated and did all the actions he was suppose to.  We watched all the other classes and then listened to the choir.  Then the whole school sang a song together.  Tyler was in the very back and he was behind a tall girl so I didn't see him very well.  I did notice that he was dancing a long and it looked like he was singing out.  He said he got a little scared but he was brave.  He loved participating and was so happy to find us at the end.  Then grandma and grandpa took us out for some ice cream at Arctic Circle.  We all enjoyed the ice cream and the company and the kids really liked the ice cream and the play land.  What a good, fun day!

Tyler Lost His First Tooth

Tyler got his first loose tooth a couple of weeks ago.  We were all very excited for him.  I told him to just keep wiggling it.  So he has been working on it everyday.
The boys had their dentist appointments on Wednesday and the dentist said that it was really close to coming out.  The dentist also said that both the boys teeth looked really good and they should keep up the good work.  Both boys did great.  They got their x-rays and did the exams without a problem.  Really Tyler generally does good, it is Josh that has had problems in the past.
Thursday Tyler was eating an apple and made the tooth really loose.  It started bleeding a little but he didn't mind.  He did say that it hurt when he moved it and only requested soft foods.  So today I noticed it was really loose so after dinner I grabbed a tissue and pulled it straight out.  He cried for a minute and said it really hurt.  He wouldn't touch the tooth, I thought that was odd.  I told him to go look at his mouth in the mirror and he said, "Holy moly guacamole."  It was funny.  He also said that he is excited for his "parent tooth" to come in.  I told him it is called "adult teeth" and he said he likes to call it "parent teeth."  What a funny guy.  So excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight.  I wonder what she'll bring?

Bath Time

I have yet to take pictures of all three kids taking a bath together.  It normally doesn't happen like this, so I thought that I would try and get some bath tub pictures.  Well it's sad to say that these two are the best that I got.  I guess I will have to try again.  It's tough to get all them looking at me (let alone smiling) and not having their private parts showing.  I guess that's why people generally have bubbles in the tub.  I will have to do that next time.
All my kids love the bath, a nice hot bath.  When it was really hot a couple days ago I made a cool bath because we were all so hot and non of them liked it.  They all whined it was too cold.  They like them a nice hot bath.
Speaking of hot, we had to get a new swamp cooler.  Our old one had some problems so Tony found one on KSL.  It was an upgraded model then our old one, so we were glad to find it.  It took him a couple days (and four neighbor kids) to get it up and running, but now we have a "new to us" swamp cooler that is super powerful and feels great on hot days...and nights.

Kindergarten Graduation

Tyler had his Kindergarten graduation this morning.  I am not really sure why they had it three weeks before school got out, but it is nice to have it done.
Tony's mom came and parked at our house and we all walked over to the school.  Tyler went into his class and the rest of us went and found some seats in the cafeteria and waited for the show to start.
They have a side stage where the kids could either be on one side or the other so depending on where you sit you could totally not see your kid.  It's annoying.  Tyler was right around the corner from where we were sitting so I ended up on the floor right in front of him video tapping his songs.
He didn't really sing out and acted like he was a little scared.  He kept his hands in his pockets and just sort of sang the songs.  I think he gets a little stage fright.  He did look super cute though.  We are very proud of our Tyler and feel very lucky to have him in our lives.

We Love Our Cousins

Today after I picked up the boys from school we went over to Grandma Margie's so that the boys could play with their cousin Gabe.  After they played for a couple of hours we went to my parents so that I could pick up my camera that I left there on Sunday.
Not long after we got there Averee and Hayden came home from school and came over to play.  The kids started out playing outside but then quickly came back in and played on the ipads.  It was pretty sad, but they played together so well that I couldn't really complain to much.  Megan had a good time playing with/by/around Kimball.  My kids love their grandmas houses and ask to go there often.  They were super lucky to get to go to both today!
